Enroute Chart Viewer like Jepp's Simchart?

Does anyone have advice for viewing low altitude enroute charts while flying in FSX. Ideally, I'm looking for something like Jepp's Simcharts where the plane is indicated on the chart.I have several sources for buying paper enroute charts and for viewing them online (www.skyvector.com) What I am looking for is something to view them while flying in electronic format.Any ideas? Doug,If you want a dynamic moving map display using your own custom maps, such as low altitude enroute charts, try the freeware FSM Moving Map by Rana Hossain. It's in the library as fsmmm120.zip.It will accept almost any map style that you have as a jpg image. The only requirement is calibrating the map in FSX, which is well described in the documentation.FSMMM was last updated for FS9, and I believe you must have that sim (or FS2002) to install it. But once installed in the older sim, FSX will recognize it automatically. Just be sure you also have FSUIPC4 installed (unregistered version OK).Try it first using one of Matt Fox's pre-calibrated sectional charts to see if you like the interface.Example: us_sectionals_pack_1.zip, also in the library.John

You're right, I forgot the $$$ aspect to our hobby. I guess compared to paying $100/hour for a "real" airplane, simming feels like quite the bargain.I'm still piggybacking on the nice computer system we bought "for the family" last year. I guess I'll see the major impact when I want to upgrade computer systems sometime in the future.I have to say that I am BLOWN AWAY by the quality of the payware aircraft I have boughten to date. Incredible. I haven't bought too many planes yet and this forum has steered me towards the great ones. To date, I have- Alphasim LongEZ- Dreamfleet Dakota- FSD Turbo Saratoga (great plane but I did need to modify the panel to put landing gear indicator on it. Not great but easily fixed)- Eaglesoft Cirrus Turbo G3 with Avidyne- Mindstar Aviation's G1000 panel- FS Panel Studio- Eaglesoft's Expansion Pack (for the Sandel 3308)- RXP's GNS 430 & 530 (simply AMAZING!!)Come to think of it, I guess I have sunk some serious dollars into this hobby (uh...addiction). Denial strikes again!!

I like Flight Sim Commander. It's a decent flight planner, but it also tracks your progress en route. The advantage to FSC is that it uses the data set native to FSX, which may be out of date compared to real-world charts. The payware FSMap from Aerosoft is also a good buy. I found it a little more stable than FSMM when running FSX.
