Tell me about BeyondATC… I think it’s time

I saw an add-on on flightsim.to that allows you to interact with it remotely via a browser… on a mobile device or laptop

Will go look, that's exactly what I was hoping for

Thank you Chris

Edit:  Found it but it requires Axis and Oh's and I don't want to run another application on top of SPAD, OI4FS and Simapp trying to interact with my controls just to get BATC on a remote client...

Seems this has been asked for multiple times but no joy 😞

My two cents.  I bought it and tried it but don't use it right now.  I figure I'll try it once a month or so to see where it improves.  I also tried SI for about a month before I figured to cancel and

2. I saw Sim Brief integration, but I actually want to try and use the flight planner built into MSFS 2024… will it work with the built-in planner?
-> NO it works with simbrief only. No simbrief, no BATC
3. How is the traffic injection? What models and liveries does it use? How’s the performance impact?
-> It use "FSLTL, FSTraffic, AIG". maybe you will see jerky aircraft movements.
4. It doesn’t support VFR is that right?  Does it still do its traffic control thing while you’re flying VFR or you just can’t use it at all in VFR?  Can you start out VFR and if the weather gets bad, request a switch to IFR?
-> I can run Flights without IFR-clearance. But its not a really VFR-ATC what you get. So NO really VFR at this time.
5. How do you interact with it? Do you use PTT and voice, hot keys, run the window as a pop-up? On another display? On your mobile or tablet?
-> I Use it with my microphone. The App runs on second Monitor. You can use an "Insim" ToolbarApp.

You should look Videos on YTube. You will see what BATC can do for you.

Thanks for answering my questions. Much appreciated. The requirement to use SIM Brief likely kills it for me. I really want to stick to the built in flight planner in 2024.

the solution in this case would be to create a plan with Simbrief and import it into the MSFS. But that is your decision. Happy Flying!
Edit:
you can also import the route from MSFS into Simbrief, which is also possible. This way you can synchronize both with each other.

I have both BATC and SI, but for me SI is the most seamless experience.

Very bevlievable voices and You can even kind of chat with Your FA, FO and to a certain degree ATC - not that ATC is limited for ATC unrelated talks, but one self feels like breaking immersion to ask if they no if there is good quality of coffee at the destination Airport.

AI- Traffic is also quite good - at least much better that default, AIG or FSLTL Traffic injection.

Ok... interesting. If I can import the route from SMFS into Simbrief, I may reconsider, but then it begs the question why can't I just import the route into BeyondATC? 😞

You can also import from LittleNavMap to Simbrief and then use in BATC ...

I want to use the built-in flight planner in the sim.

It can be brutal when it comes to readbacks.

I'm hopeful they'll add a user option to change this in the future, like SayIntentions has.

In the meantime, FSHud does the opposite: it doesn't care about readback accuracy so never asks you to repeat yourself. Could give it a try if you haven't already.

Am I overly limiting myself by not wanting to do flight planning in Sim Brief?

Still no ability to run it as a remote client on a separate machine?

FSHUD seems to have really dropped off from an updates perspective would like to give BATC a try but really like to have a client running on my laptop next to my FS system...

That's what I really like about FSHUD running the GUI on the ipad in the network... Hoping for a similar solution from BATC... Tested Default/SAI/FSHUD/BATC...

I’ve been waiting so long for BATC to finally show what it’s capable of in VFR. Say Intention is too expensive, and there’s always something with AI that spoils the experience with SI — not to mention the endless stream of added features, like a stupid business rule for subscription services, which I have no use for.

I'm holding short. We're at least lucky to have a potential competition here, as the core engine of MSFS2024 has really something better to manage for now 😉

I've found the default 2024 ATC to be reasonably good at VFR services (at least in the USA).  WT has been working on it here and there from what I understand.

@Virtual-Chris

BATC is pretty good at structured commercial IFR flight.  Not so great at general aviation IFR though.

Thanks. Yeah, I’m mostly looking at BATC for IFR. I can use default for VFR.

MSFS 24 SU3 get a overhaul for IFR SID and STAR procedure/flow , but still some issue for Runway and Sid assignation still use vector instand a normal SID.

It's the age-old flight sim adage:  There Is No Perfect ATC Program.
Each of them has its strengths and weaknesses.

I guess I'm going to have to use Simbrief. I don't really see any other way around it.
