July 19, 2025Jul 19 So, almost every airport in FS 2024 had vanished. They do not show on the world map and if I type in a departure airport it can not find it. Linker has everything active... Do I need to wipe everything and reinstall, or is there any thing else that I can try? Edited July 19, 2025Jul 19 by Bob Scott //admin edit: thread title corrected Kerry W. July 19, 2025Jul 19 Author Thank you Rick, but I have no disks. I have an online purchase from the day that FS2024 was released two years ago. I did a flight 6 hours ago that worked fine. Ever since then I am missing 90%+ of my airports. Kerry W. GipeSavannah Georgia, USAUS FAA A&P / Commercial Pilot Multi Engine Land IFRYour talent is a gift from God. As for your airports not showing, is it third party airports or the default airports you’re talking about? Or all of them? I don’t use addon linker but might be worthwhile checking the path is pointed to the correct location or try checking the filters in the world map menu in the sim to see if you’ve accidentally turned off anything. To clarify, are the airports visible when flying in the sim? Or are the airports not showing up in the sim selection menu?
July 19, 2025Jul 19 Author I have about 10 or 15 airports currently in all of North America. Total. I have nothing at all in the North West quarter of north America. Not even one airport. I have been using Flight sim since FS4...I have never seen anything like this before. Soooo frustrating Kerry W. July 19, 2025Jul 19 Can you start at one of the NA airports that DOES show and fly to one that does NOT? Nearby to save time of course. Do the missing airports still show up in your navigation database /flight planner (simbrief in sim?). As in loaded at working Airport can you set gps to an airport that isn't visible on top menu and fly /land there? Russell Gough SE London
July 19, 2025Jul 19 Empty your community folder (with addon linker ) and do a full reinstall. It only takes 10 min or so, not like 2020 which took hours. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

I had thought about trying that, but it was getting late so I just went to bed 🙂 I will give that a try to see what happens. After I do I may well just follow Jonathans suggestion. Thank you to both of you (And Rick also). I will report back what happened on the test, just to log it here in case anyone else ever has this issue in the future. Who knows, it just might help someone some day... Kerry W. GipeSavannah Georgia, USAUS FAA A&P / Commercial Pilot Multi Engine Land IFRYour talent is a gift from God. You can also try deleting the contents of your scenery index folder and start 2024 and let FS build a new one. July 19, 2025Jul 19 You could also try the brilliant LittleNavMap. It will load your sim scenery database and show on a map all available airports. If they are not in the sim they wont show, it will be a very quick load! https://albar965.github.io/littlenavmap.html Russell Gough SE London
July 20, 2025Jul 20 Author I renamed the Scenery Index folder, and booted MSFS2024, the scenery Index folder did rebuild, however the missing airports are still missing. In the world map in Free Flight you can actually see the clear Latitude line where the issue is. Lots of little dots for airports below the line, and wide open nothingness above the line. The line runs laterally, just North of the San Fransisco Bay Area. I believe a full reinstall is in order... Kerry W.
