Yes, this context is generally where the word is used- I see it all the time in SDKs and programming help materials. Microsoft uses it in MSDN alot.

Interesting comments on the use of the word 'depreciate.' Thanks guys! although I've just noticed that the word used was 'deprecate' and not 'depreciate.' Doh!! I'll get my coat :-)
