Looks like you might not have set up the *paths* correctly in the FBW installer/updater - specifically, the path to your Community folder. Also - the aircraft selection menu in MSFS is insane: try entering "320" or "Flybywire" in the search box.

I never used any installer or updater, just downloaded unzipped and placed in community is that not correct ?

Thanks Alan

I let MS Copilot find the answer for you by sending your request to Copilot. Here is the answer:

Ah, the elusive FlyByWire A320! 🛫 It’s a common hiccup in MSFS2020, and you’re not alone. Here’s what’s likely going on and how to fix it:

🧭 Where It Should Appear

  • The FlyByWire A320 (A32NX) does not replace the default Airbus A320neo.
  • It shows up as a separate aircraft in the aircraft selection menu, usually listed as FlyByWire Simulations A320neo (LEAP).
  • If you’re selecting the default A320neo, you’re flying the vanilla version—not the modded one.

🔧 What To Do If It’s Missing

Try these steps to get it showing properly:

  1. Delete Old Versions:

    • Go to your Community folder and remove any folders named flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo.
    • Also check the Content Manager in MSFS and uninstall any FlyByWire entries.
  2. Fresh Install:

    • Use the official FlyByWire Installer to download the latest version.
    • Choose the Development or Experimental version for the best experience.
  3. Restart MSFS:

    • After installation, restart the sim and check the aircraft selection again.
    • Look for the FlyByWire A320neo (LEAP)—not the default A320neo.
  4. Search Function:

    • If it’s still not visible, try typing “FlyByWire” in the aircraft search bar.
