Non-linear changes of values in AP settings

Recommended Posts

When changing a value, e.g. altitude, in a default MS aircraft the numbers tend to jump rapidly causing me to zip by the value I want to set. This happens in previous versions of MSFS also. Is there a way of changing something in a .cfg file to make the numbers "roll" in a linear fashion?Bill

The payware version of FSUIPC fixes that problem. Look for a checkbox captioned "Fix control accelleration" or similar wording. R-

Or make the changes with small steps, everytime you interrupt, it will restart non-linear with very small changes again.

A mouse wheel will give you good control over those values. Most controls let you place the cursor over the knob and then use the wheel to adjust the number.Jeff ShylukAssistant Managing EditorSenior Staff ReviwerAVSIM

Thanks for the tips, flight simmers. :D Jeff, I had not thought about using the mouse. Good tip. I will have to try that one for sure. :)
