Navigraph is definitely worth the money. I have all the features and use every one of them. I've been subscribing to them for over 12 years.

One of the biggest problems with the MSFS Flight Planner is that it doesn't have Performance info for any aircraft, even the default ASOBO / INIBUILDS 😕

Being based on LIDO there are also a less airport charts available. A good example nearby where I work is LPCS, a very important Lisbon bizzjet hub, with NILL charts in flightplanner...

For the time being, unfortunately, Navigraph is still the only option.

Last year there was that "AVIAPLANNER.COM / WEB.AVIAPLANNER.COM" initiative, which I stupidly fell into 😕  It turned out to be discontinued in terms of many of the promised features and the charts are now more than 1 year out of date 😞

Personally, I find Navigraph to be one of the bargains of flight simming when you really look at all you get for your fee.  The integration of tools - from sophisticated flight planning to a pro-level chart app with things like integrated weather and geo-referencing, to seamless imports, to the full suite of Jepp charts for all airports, not just those served by scheduled air carriers - makes it so much more that just charts and nav data with a flight planner.  And while you can save money by paying yearly, you don't have to commit to a subscription term so it's easy to opt out for a few months if you're taking breaks from simming as I often do for travel or other reasons.

From my perspective - sure glad that we have Navigraph available and don't have to rely solely on what MSFS provides.

I also think Navigraph is an excellent service, but for someone like me who doesn't use it regularly but wants to use a few cycles a year and not all the cycles monthly, it's a bit of a waste of money. There are some months when I don't use the simulator at all, and in those months when I don't fly, I wouldn't use it. That's why I was saying that if there was the possibility of synchronizing the various add-ons with the Microsoft database too, it would be excellent in my case. Anyway, thanks for all your opinions; they're all very interesting and help us simmers understand the various points of view.

Hard to believe its nearly 20 years ago. At the time I'd bought the Level-D 767 (my first airliner) for FS9, and Radar Contact, and was wondering why procedures in the FMC were different to the charts I'd found. Richard Stefan's AIRAC data really helped!

Amazing time flies and what a ride was my first great love LDS 767 🙂 Great guy to Richard. O and indeed Radar Contact on a CD 🤣 what a great piece of software...

Out of curiosity i clicked on your link. Whilst it describes what FMS Data provides it doesn’t give a link to be able to subscribe to that service.

The only option is Navigraph Unlimited at £81.64 per annum.

I still remember the email from Richard Stefan many years ago describing how my subscription was going to be simplified. In short the FMS Data option would be discontinued. I raised merry hell on their forum and many others joined in.

In the end he relented and allowed users to continue with that option which I still use. Having Aivlasoft’s EFB it presents information in an ideal way for me.

I have no need for the far more expensive Ultimate package but accept others love it. Each to their own.

Now where is the link allowing new customers to subscribe to FMS Data. I suspect it’s been quietly withdrawn for new users.

Indeed it is. I still get regular requests to provide the links. One of these days I really should upload it to AvSim library having been granted permission by Doug Thompson- one of the co-owners.

As I already have an active subscription I don’t see that offer. Perhaps someone who has taken advantage of it could confirm. @riccardo74?

For the time being, unfortunately, Navigraph is still the only option.

It's the most fruitful option, it fully integrates with the sim.

No need to do any sort of manual files swap work.

No need to visit Simbrief flight plan website anymore, as its all inside my sim session now.

Just a few toggles of options on or off and 2 quick user network authentications between the Navigraph servers and MSFS and you're in.

MCDU routes are fully loaded and I just input my personal performance data for takeoff, climb, cruise, descent and landings.

Then its Bon Voyage!!!

Hi Ray, I don't have now an active subscriptio (my expired last august 2024), click on your account and at the end of the page you will find:

Get a Navigation Data Subscription

maybe this link is active only if your subscription has expired.

I can get only navdata for 36,34€\year

As I said before, I think I'll subscribe to the monthly subscription (navdata + charts) for €11.04 for just one month.

I usually buy one cycle per year and fly with that cycle for a entire year. It would be better to subscribe to just navdata for €36.34 per year, but in my opinion, the changes from one month to the next are so insignificant that it's not worth it.

Once the subscription expires, I'll fly with "AIRAC OUT OF DATE" warning in the FMC of my airplanes (I'll get over it), and I'll use the free charts from Flight Simulator 2024.

I respect all your opinions because they show me different approaches to this hobby, which is becoming increasingly expensive year after year.

Once again, "bargain" is relevant to an individual. For me the full subscription is vastly expensive and not something I need.
