Stuck brakes at 50% - not releasing or moving abruplty

Featured Replies

Dear simmers,

I have weird problem since yesterday. Until yesterday everything worked well. Problem is related to the brakes stuck and not releasing. I noticed that they get stuck in about 50% and the slider only works half way to the bottom. Why this happened all of a sudden out of nowhere? I have TPR rudder pedals. I re-calibrated them with windows and with TPR software. Small change, now the slider works but moves abruptly half way down in a 0-1 basis, slightest press on the brake, sets it to... 50%. Did anyone had something similar? It is MSFS related. I tried different sim and it worked fine there.

Reset the calibration within Windows Control Panel for the particular device. That did the trick for me.

Do you fix it? I have the same problem and i have already reset the calibration.

This same  thing happened to me when I first bought my TPR pedals. I searched online and found someone who had a cure. It worked for me too, perfectly. I have an old windows 8 laptop as well as my big msfs Win 11 desktop. So I,

1 Uninstalled the TM software from my desktop computer.

2 unplugged the pedals from desktop and plugged the pedals into the old simple non gaming laptop.

3 Calibrated the pedals in Windows Control Panel of the laptop, not the powerful desktop.

4 plugged the pedals back into the desktop and now they worked perfectly. And have ever since (3 years).

EDIT: (and made sure to never let the TM software get anywhere near my computer again).

I was told this, and it worked: Removing the TM software took care of the problem on the computer side.

Calibrating on another computer took care of the problem inside the pedals' internal RAM.
