Not sure where you guys got "Final Report" from when I was only ever talking about the Preliminary Report. A preliminary report provides a concise summary of factual information gathered during the initial phase of an accident or incident investigation. It is typically released within a few weeks of the event. From there you have a better idea based on facts not speculation

LRBS I never once said "Final Report" that was on you. If you wish to continue to speculate before a Preliminary Report that is fine. I prefer to wait for the Preliminary Report, don't put words in people mouths I never once said Final Report

When a Preliminary Report is released that is when Tubers like Juan Browne or Captain Steeeve release detailed analysis based on the Preliminary Report which to be honest is the responsible thing to do.

Something is missing here. I didn't mention anywhere that you said "final report". Can you point me to that sentence where you claim that I put words in people's mouths? Again, what seems to be the problem with you about me speculating like other people? Did you also go after the other people?
Your Juan Browne Blancolirio, without having a "preliminary report," also speculates and provides wrong information about technical data on the B748 and its operations, while Captain Steeve, who is neither current nor qualified in the B747 did not make any remarks.
That's why I say that you have some obvious issues attacking people.
This is another piece of information that clearly shows that Juan Browne Blancolirio has no knowledge about the airplane, and makes some wrong statements.
You need to take a break from this unwarranted combative attitude.

I was never being rude, Enough Said means exactly that  Edit: Also I never said Final Report, I said Preliminary Report

  • Mr. LRBS, I read your "about" and find it very interesting.  Qualified and current in both the B747 and A380 at the same time.  Also you referenced being a Designated Examiner and a Chief Pilot.

I stand by what I have already said to you and that is I will wait for the preliminary report rather then engaging in this with you any further Enough Said

You said, "LRBS, I never once said Final report that was on you." Absolutely, I mentioned the final report, but where did I put words in people's mouths? That's where the mystery is.
That's why I say that you are combative, rude, and attack people for no reason. You really need to take it a few notches down; it's a very unprofessional attitude for no reason.
It's very sad to see this. Good luck with your interaction skills.

This is starting to feel like an episode of Real Housewives. I think that you both need to "shake hands" and move on.

the 747 limitations state a maximum crosswind landing on a dry runway at 30kts - here they were over 40kts.

That number is the "maximum demonstrated crosswind", not the maximum crosswind.  There is a big difference.  As I've mentioned before after being on several accident investigation boards, a person can't criticize command decisions unless they were in the cockpit and know/knew what the crew knew or thought they knew.
