August 17, 2025Aug 17 Simulator worked just fine the other day. Today, I am stuck on the ramp. Usually, I use Shift-C to enter cockpit and menu bar on screen displays this option. Today, menu bar only says "Enter Aircraft" without keyboard shortcut info. Mouse click on tool bar menu item does nothing. I can open the door but clickspot on seat does not work. Hard to simulate a flight if I cannot enter the aircraft. This is with the A2A Aerostar. This is really pissing me off. Anyone know what could have changed. I am not on the beta. Thanks, Mike
August 17, 2025Aug 17 I recall this happening to me (different aircraft though). I don't recall what I did to fix it but I think I just closed the game and re-opened it and all was ok. Did you try that yet?
August 17, 2025Aug 17 Not sure this is it, but there's a rare bug where your keyboard just doesn't work at all. Happens to me from time to time. A sim restart usually works. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
August 17, 2025Aug 17 If wired keyboard, unplug it from. your computer or hub, plug it back in...If wireless, unplug the sending/receiving unit and replace the batteries in the keyboard...

It happens intermittently to the Turbine variant but not on the Piston. When it happens on the Grand Duke, I am unable to use the sim and I exit using Alt-F4.
August 17, 2025Aug 17 Author Thanks, for all the help. I closed and restarted the sim, same results. Restarted computer, same results. After some swearing, finally started at the runway and that worked. Mike

Thanks, Mike Mike, This used to happen to me every time I initiated a flight with a Fenix or PMDG aircraft using a variant/livery combination for the first time. I would always end-up with some default settings. Create a keyboard profile that meets your needs, save it with a unique name and back it up with the Export function (in case it gets overridden). The next time you use an aircraft for the first time, go to the Controls settings and make sure the keyboard profile for that aircraft is your custom profile. You might want to do the same for all settings of your controller, rudder pedals, etc. You will never have a problem again. T zachlog
