But in the order of things I'd say it should be something like this:

 

Aircraft Modelling

Flight Dynamics and World Aerodynamics

Ground Physics

Weather

Weather

Weather

 

Airport environment

World environment

and only then

AI and ATC. Because they go hand in hand. 

 

What frustrates me is that even the 3rd party ATC add-ons don't want to improve the aircraft movements. I'm sick of seeing aircraft land so hard they should be totaled, or taxi and turn so fast that it feels like 4x time acceleration.

This is why I have the animated AI planes disabled in MSFS 2020. The animations are garbage when compared to P3D.

the thing is: this was never an issue in FSX or P3D so I do really wonder if the performance impact is really that high. And it could easily be countered by simply reducing the density/amount of AI planes.

Yes I use 7-800 OLOD so I assume it will cause the LOD culling to happen a significant distance further away.

Having OLOD above 200 in the user.cfg have no impact on the landing gears. only other objects, and animations on windfarms etc get better at distance.

Nope, this sadly doesn't seem to be OLOD dependant at all and is a core flaw in the sim...
