MSFS 2024 walkaroud mode is great when done right!

Then why do it?

Assign a key to the standard MSFS2024 function "Quick Preflight".     Load in at your gate, hit that key, and off you go.   No GSX war[ing needed.

I guess that you didn't detect the note of sarcasm in my post. Asobo should make the walkaround an option that can be turned off in the menu.

You mean basically a "legacy" start up where you spawn right in the cockpit like you used to?

Sounds like a good option for those who'd like that choice.

I personally would look forward for them to extend the features and make it more like what Fenix did, so that you actually can enter the aircraft, sit down and start up without having to visibly switch the instance of the sim you are in.

totally agree. and it is a requirement before any flight in the real world. I do it all the time in VR, I even walk up to and around other AI airplanes when I see them in VR, just like I did in real life, and enjoyed talking to their pilots and exchanging ideas for the next  $ 100 burger flight, kind of extends the flight foreplay.😃

This is why MSFS needs an app that will allow you to park ALL the aircraft you own in one airport for inspection and enjoyment. A Day One purchase for those who have an aircraft collection. Look at those beauties all in a nice neat row! 😀

Couldn't agree more.

It's a game!

I know why a walk around would be required in the real world, but why we are forced to do it in a game is dumb!

No different than starting with engines running on a runway rather than cold and dark!

I would personally like that option too.

But pressing 1 key, assigned to 'Quick preflight', isn't too tedious to do.

I understand not every one have flexible muscles, but It only takes one press of "SHIFT+C" to appear in the cockpit! I guess it too much to ask LOL

In any case, I think the way some 3rd party developers are taking advantage of the walkaround mode, enhances the immersion.

I'm enjoying it w/ the Fenix A320.  What I do also is hit the xxternal view button to do 3rd person, and while I'm loading Self Loading Cargo, BATC and Simbrief will do some walk around, then head up the air stairs and enter the flight deck.  Now I just have to remember to shut and lock the flight deck door lest SLC nail me...again 😳.

It wouldn't hurt if they would also make the banner on the bottom w/ the instruction to SHIFT+C active, so that clicking it gets you into the cockpit.  I have assigned SHIFT-C to a spare button on my yoke.
