Blacksquare Dukes update 1.2 (incl MSFS2024)

Featured Replies

I would ensure it is installed correctly. Are you able to access the 750 from the toolbar menu instead?

  • I've updated four of my liveries 🙂 https://flightsim.to/profile/TimHH

  • Such incredible addons... so nice to have both Dukes back in 2024!  With GTNxi bezels and headphone simulation - icing on the cake!

  • Finally had a chance to fly the Grand Duke today to try out the new update.  Nice to have a few niggles cleaned up, like the oil viscosity in the left engine mirroring the right which messed up pre-oi

Hmm, does not here. Anything else what I have to do? I open the tablet, choose the GTN 750 as primary. Confirm. But nothing happens.

Sorry if this is obvious, but want to make sure all the bases are covered.  Underneath where you set primary and secondary, there's a toggle which selects between PMS50 and TDS.  Do you have this set to PMS50?

From sea level up to FL200 75% power is 31.9 In MP at 2750 RPM. Fuel flow should be 133 PPH per Engine which should net you 241 KTAS in the Grand Duke, and 225 KTAS in the stock Duke.  Same settings lower will give you 217 KTAS in the Grand at 10,000 feet and 198 KTAS at sea level again in the  Grand.

Climb to FL 240, and increase the throttle to 34.1 in MP with the same 2750 RPM for the same fuel flow of 133 PPH per engine but at 250 KTAS in the Grand or 234 in the stock Duke.

Keep in mind that these figures are for an ISA standard day.  It's a bit less straightforward/linear when colder or warmer.  You can find more detail in a RW POH - several are available on line.  And again, I've not found one specific to the Grand Duke.  If anyone knows of a source, I'd appreciate a link.

While at most altitudes the differences are fairly minor and can be ignored in the sim if you don't enjoy sweating the details, the biggest limiter which can't be ignored is on a warmer than standard day, which is why I mentioned flying lower during summer months.  The higher density altitudes of summer will also impact whether the pressurization system can handle keeping the cabin altitude below 10,000' in the low flight levels without exceeding pressure limits.

Yes. And I just found the culprit. It was an unpacking issue with the zip. Everything is good now.

OK, I don't think the update will have made it to the Marketplace yet then. It only came out on Just Flight on Monday.

Which leads to the question. When can we expect this update to reach the marketplace ?
