I bought Verticalsim KGSP Greenville-Spartanburg from the MSFS 2024 Marketplace tonight.

In the sim, all buildings on the airfield are missing and there are pink (missing textures) vehicles everywhere.  It has all the hallmarks of a product being completely incompatible with MSFS 2024 - despite being sold from the 2024 Marketplace.

It is an unusable mess and, being from the Marketplace, no chance of a refund.

Has anyone else bought this airport on the 2024 Marketplace and does it work for you?

If the only other place you can get it is Simarket you can be pretty sure it's going to be bad.

Plus it looks like it came out in 2020

Very surprising they said said it was 2024 compatible. I have my doubts

I was sent this post by someone in my Discord. I'd be glad to issue you a refund if you're having issues (just provide the receipt or proof-of-purchase, and send screenshots of the issues your having). The airport was indeed working in 24' at that time it was "marked" compatible. However, updates and stuff can break them. 

I just loaded it up in 24', and I'm having no issues.

Sometimes small things can cause it not to load properly...bad download...not restarting the sim after installing, etc. etc.

Perhaps SU4 beta is to blame?  Verticalsim makes excellent products!  (I think I have almost all of them!)

Remove it and try a clean install.

I have almost every Verticalsims airport running nicely in 24.  
 

if the problem persists, Andrew is very responsive and helpful.

I have the same issue with Clearwater Air Park KCLW and Plant City Municipal KPCM, both Vertical Sim airports from the Marketplace. I had them in MSFS2020 and were eventually listed as compatible in MSFS2024. One doesn't show up at all and the other is missing all of the buildings. They are the only two airports I own that didn't make the 2020 > 2024 translation.

I've re-installed them several times as MSFS has evolved, but still no go.

Hi Forest,

CLW and PCM are in my (virtual) backyard.  They are daily flyers here in ‘24, purchased in the 2020 marketplace.  I also run PIE, RSW and SRQ extensively in ‘24.

As a test, try a clean install into an otherwise empty community folder to isolate the problem.

Depending on what happens, send an email (or use Discord) to Verticalsim for assistance.

That's encouraging that you have those two working in 2024. Did you copy those over from 2020 or install into 2024 from the Marketplace?

I have Verticalsim's KTPF & KSRQ and they are perfectly okay. I may try the email route. I don't use Discord for anything unless it's a last resort. Too much like trying to listen to a conversation in an elementary school cafeteria at lunch time. 🙂

To reiterate, this was a MSFS2024 Marketplace purchase, so there aren't too many options available around installation etc - it gets automatically installed by the Marketplace.    I'm using SU3 Stable (I don't opt into the MSFS betas).

I've tried 3 cycles of installing it and removing it from my Marketplace Library.

I can also confirm that I have loaded into the airport with an empty Community folder, and still have the issue.  The airport is barren of all buildings (there are just a few odd, random jetways) and the field is covered with pink vehicles, indicating missing textures.

I'm at a loss what to try next.

It's good to see I'm not the only one with such issues with the Verticalsim airports in MSFS2024, bought from the Marketplace.  

I wonder if those who don't have any of these issues bought the airport from outside of the MSFS2024 Marketplace?    Perhaps the 2024 Marketplace source file is corrupted in some way?

Sorry to bring this back to the forefront, but I just purchased MSFS 2024 after Sim Update 4.  No buildings are showing at KGSP with my Verticalsim scenery that I'm carrying over from MSFS 2020.  I have nothing in my community folder other than my PMDG and Navigraph items and all settings are on Ultra.  LOD is at 250.  I have everthing but the buldings. 

Thoughts anyone?

Yep.

This is the single only scenery addon that I ever bought from the Marketplace that was this messed up.  The Verticalsim dev did offer to help on Discord etc but I only tend to use Discord if my life depends on it....

I just don't get how a supposedly, integrated, tested scenery addon that is stated as being MS2024, can just not work in that sim.   No buildings and pink textures everywhere.    I uninstalled & reinstalled about 4 times.  Just doesn't work.

The sad part is, there have been about a half dozen times where I've been looking for scenery for an aiport in the Marketplace, and I see one that is exactly what I'm looking for...... but then note that it's by Verticalsim.  So I won't risk buying it.   Not because I have 'blacklisted' them but because I am too worried that, like KGSP, it just won't work.

Or maybe there is a technical explanation of what Os experienced ?

The scene was bought from Marketplace; nothing to do with Simmarket.
