Does anyone know why on the 747 repaint does the tail logo on the right side reverse? and how do you fix it? so that it is correct? Thanks in advance for your help.Justin

Pete,Its a repaint that i am working on, it actually does it on the 737 as well. its very confusing and downright irritating. But I am new at repainting and have probably forgotten a step. Any idea which one?

It's a design 'fault', can't be fixed as far as I know. The problem is they use the same texture on both sides, one turning up in reverse. Some aircraft has taken this into account. The 'body' part of the MD is done 'correctly', but the tail section is not.

Actually the 737 CAN be done - there are TWO sides of the tail in the texture file, the trick is to paint one of the sides in reverse and the other one not reversed. The "reversed" side of the texture will then appear correctly (i.e. not reversed) when applied to the plane. The problem with the 747 is that there is only ONE side of the tail available in the texture file and this is then applied to BOTH sides, hence one side then ending up being reversed. :-)
