GMAX - mirroring animation ...

I am trying to "Mirror" a Gear Door on my current (well first) project. If I mirror it using the modifier stack then it looks fine, but the animation is all over the place. If I do it with the "Mirror" on the toolbar then the normals are wrong AND it won't export (cannot export with a scale applied).Does anyone know if you can mirror animated parts ???

It should not be a problem. I think you should check out your pivot point. That will define were your part will turn. Also with the other way of mirroring, you can make the polys face the right way. There is an option for them in the make editable mesh stack, I think it is called flip normals or something.Good Luck,Udo:-wave
