Flight Factor 757 and 767 ?

Featured Replies

I completed a flight on the 757 on the latest 12.3 beta. No issues for me, even with TGDS working. I then purchased their 777-200ER and just completed a flight with that... though that tablet is SO tedious. I just want something that frickin' takes SimBrief flight and imports the weight and balance... then takes the weather from the sim and calculates performance based on that. Why the tedium of manually entering winds etc? I may be missing something and I haven't read the manual quite yet, but other than the tablet, it's a gorgeous aircraft and performed reasonably to expectation. There is a lot to read up on here.

Excellent feedback!

I am also restarting to use the 757... But I have to recall how to properly operate it...

The Auto-Checklists do help though 🙂

In my recent tries one of the quirks, even after yesterdays Xp12 update, is that at airports like LPFR the jetways do not operate. If I open the Ground Services window the option for the Jetway is greyed out 😕 and even using a keyboard assignement for that doesn't work...

Hi, did the weather radar actually work? And how about the TCAS? Some report the crashes due to out of memory issues when using the WX radar.

Reference the TO and APP performance data I use Simbrief for that. As long as you load your aircraft according to Simbrief it will allow you to populate weather and calculate a flex temp along with reference speeds, TO length and everything else you could get from the aircraft’s EFB. Just with the click of a couple of buttons to populate weather then calculate, all the data is automatically in. Same for approach with calculated landing weight, landing roll vs runway available etc. At the top of your Simbrief flight plan page.

Also I really don’t miss the cockpit weather radar as the Navigraph charts now show everything from rain to icing to turbulent ares.

But the feel is so much more believable than that of flying an airliner in my other sim, as well as the way weather affects it... It's good to feel this difference to remind me of how special XP and some of it's addons are...

Trudat. Jet airliners in some other sims fly like fighter jets. Very twitchy and overly responsive. Maybe geared to what gamers expect?

Jury is still out on weather radar. It was showing SOMETHING, just not really sure it was a correct something because it wasn't moving as expected and none of it particularly matched what I was expecting... so it may be that it didn't particularly correspond with reality. I am about to do another flight and we shall see. And yea, I ended up using SimBrief for the calculations because that tablet is hell on wheels. 🙂 Fenix and iniBuilds somehow can build normal tablets. Unfortunately, it was always FF's weakest area. The 757 and 767 tablet is nothing to write home about but it was better than this one.
