October 15, 2025Oct 15 If I could commute to work in one of those I might just consider ending working from home! 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
October 15, 2025Oct 15 A rich people toy if I ever saw one. I love flying it in VR 15 meters above ground.
October 16, 2025Oct 16 OMG, will I see these flying around my local area as a form of transport in my lifetime...maybe not me, but my children and grandchildren highly likely.

That's what my grandfather said, in the 1920's. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
October 16, 2025Oct 16 I want that jetpack I was promised some decades ago. PS I wore an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time...

People are paying that much for lifted pickup trucks these days. On balance, I'd rather have the Jetson. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light

The Jetson can transport nothing but its pilot and the range is ludicrously low. On one charge I can travel about 25 Km with it in the he sim. If I could spend 85k without flinching I would probably still buy one, provided it is not too much of a hassle to be allowed to operate it. But I know the laws where I live and I doubt you could ever get a permit to fly it wherever you want. For giggles I checked in the sim how fast I could commute to work in it. The space to start and land is sufficient but it's the low flying over residential areas that would make it impermissable. Edited October 17, 2025Oct 17 by Farlis

If I can afford to spend $125,000 on a nice-summer-day-only vehicle that, as you said, I probably can't use for anything practical like actually going somewhere, I can get this and then spend a heck of a lot less for a pickup that I use. 7 grand will get you an old F150 all day long, and to someone who can drop 6 figures on a toy, that's chump change. My thought is that I'm actually surprised it costs that little. Usually, stupid rich people toys are a lot more expensive because their makers know they're selling to people who aren't too concerned with the first digit in a six-figure price tag. 125 grand puts it within reach of the upper-middle class. There aren't too many over-the-top toys, especially in the aviation world, you can say that about. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light
October 17, 2025Oct 17 If I was rich and a lot skinner, I'd definitely get one. Although I wonder what the engine out procedure is... probably finding religion and hoping you are low enough. I love buzzing around airports in MSFS in one. Great way to check out scenery up close. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

I guess you haven't noticed all the boats on a Sunday afternoon in the summer and how many are sitting at the dock. They're only used a few weekends if at all and theres lots of them. And many are easily worth $125,000.
October 18, 2025Oct 18 By the way, they seemed to have redesigned the flightcontrols in these. The one modeled in MSFS24 has the altitute control on the left. In these there is no lever on the left hand and there is a hat switch on the right joystick that wasn't there before.
