Can’t get quest 3 to display msfs 2024 in vr mode

Featured Replies

Hi just got my quest 3 today and trying to get msfs 2024 to run in vr mode, however after setting up I only seem to get msfs to display in a 2d mode in my headset, I don’t get any head movements when I am in the cockpit, the view is like looking at a tv picture in the headset.I have followed various YouTube videos but don’t know what I have done wrong as when I set up the quest and switch on I get vr in the headset I can look left right etc.

thank you,Jim

It sounds like you are using the headset but not triggering the VR function. The default function to do that is Alt-TAB. Try that and you should switch to VR.

Are you trying to use Quest Link or Virtual Desktop? Are you using the headset wireless or wired?

You're right, it is CTL-TAB. I must have had a brain fart when I typed ALT-TAB LOL. Sorry about that.

have you set the option to allow unknown sources in the Meta Quest app on your PC ?

(via Settings -> General)

has there been a fix here? I have the same issue.

  • 3 weeks later...

For me what fixed it, was to make sure to set the Meta app as the default XR runtime.

I must have changed it years ago not remembering as it must have been needed for something I was testing at the time and then forgot all about it.

Once I changed Meta back to the default XR runtime then using CTRL+TAB put me straight into the vr environment.

Before it worked, I was getting an error box popping up every time I hit ctrl+tab that said there was no vr headset recognized, or something to that effect.
