You do realise they  are based in Kiev, Ukraine. I noticed on the MSFS forum, they are updating the F111 etc, and apologise for the delay.

I do, yes, and that's why I've been happy to support them with my two prior purchases. But I think it's important to clarify for other potential buyers that, unlike the majority of other devs, this dev is not capable of providing timely responses and patches in general, at least in my experience.

Sound advice ! I'm going to wait for further developments of the B-52, not least the MSFS2024 version, before buying.

Regarding the F-111, I'm hoping for an MSFS2024 update ( if only to get rid of that light reflection from the cockpit floor ). It's highly likely that GKS has been focused on this B-52, and what with waiting for SU3 and SU4 on top, he hasn't had much time for anything else.

Agree. The dev is active over on the B52 forum post at the official flight simulator website.  He answers most topics but I'm still at a loss as to how they advertise a product as "out now for msfs2024", yet is not available to purchase anywhere for msfs2024 users.

Would love this plane in any venue other than MP. I would like the option to put armament on it and modify *.cfg. Hope they make it available elsewhere, JF, Orbx, even SimMarket.

In the demo flight video, I noticed that the dangling pull thingies sway as the aircraft buffets and turns. Nice. However, they seem to always point towards the earth. In a coordinated turn (which most of the turns were, reasonably so anyway), the dangling thingies should point towards the floor of the aircraft, not towards the earth. Look at 25:38 and afterwards. Minor issue, for sure.

Had a chance to fly the B-52 and KC-135 motion simulators at Castle AFB.  Heavy controls on the B-52. Sitting in a B-52 doing engine runs was wild!

Heavy on the controls? I was an enlisted Gunner on D and G models. (Believe me…riding in the tail of the D was NOT for the weak of stomach or brittle of bone!)

When one of my Aircraft Commanders found out I was private, instrument, and multi-engine rated, he let me fly a G-model on occasion. One thing hit me: he horsed the yoke all the way right, all the way left, and back to center…we had NOT moved. He said you have to think about 2 minutes ahead of the aircraft.

Also, the flaps had two settings: up and down and they took a full minute to go either way. The phrase that stuck with me is “No distraction during flap retraction.”

Stll, I can’t think of any other aircraft I would have taken to the Gulf.

I got a chance to fly the B-52G/H refueling simulator, and I tell you it's not easy to hook up to a KC-135 Tanker. You had to think ahead before you moved the controls.  There was a model of a KC-135 on a pole, which a camera would orbit the model, built by Singer.

The KC-135 full-motion simulator was also built by Singer.  The Major was kind enough to allow me as co-pilot on a sim flght.

Got a chance to fly the F-4 Phantom Simulator and chase a UFO.  (George AFB)

Yes. Just bind the same hardware axis twice for different axis in the game. So bind your first lever just to both axis 1 and 2 for example. The sim will warn you that you already bound the axis, but you can still do it and it works. You can also bind 1&5 together or 2&6 and so on.

Still not getting how to bind anything past 4 since in the settings you can only bind up to throttle 4.

This sort of old plane with lots and lots of dials and levers is definitely not my bucket of borscht, but I figure some here may be pretty ecstatic.

Nice. Hows the fidelity of the aircraft? I saw on a forum the CRT screen in the real thing only has basic stuff on it but on this one it has like a proper map mode, which I don't know if thats realistic or not...
