Fair point, OP would have to look for good condition used and that might be outside of $200 … I sold my LG 42” OLED for $350. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan

I think I actually read that there is a company that is developing software to do exactly this and maintain ultrawide but eliminate the stretching on the sides... Please please please tell me this is possible. The stretching at the edges of ultra wides and multi monitor setup when using NVidia surround is terrible. November 17, 2025Nov 17 I don’t use nVidia surround … is the stretching a nvidia surround issue or monitor? On both my LG 45” 5k/2k and 45” 3440 x 1440, I haven’t noticed any stretching at all? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan

Using surround to create a single desktop resolution of (in the case of 3 x 4k monitors 11520 x 2160 pixels creates a huge stretching effect on the side screens. Using smaller or less monitors or would result in an effect that wasn't as stretched... November 20, 2025Nov 20 A bit more … but if you’re looking for FOV correction that is ultimately best handled by the game (MSFS). I know someone that has implemented corrections for multiple displays/projectors for P3D (not a free solution) … I think he has something available for MSFS but not sure, I can inquire. I’ve seen other solutions but they are game specific and MSFS isn’t listed as supported. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan

Mate if somebody had managed to figure out a way to correct the FOV in MSFS on an ultra wide screen, be it a single ultra wide monitor or a multi monitor setup running an extended desktop via an app like NVSurround or Resize Racpopo they'd be selling it and making a nice bucket of money. You're right in so far as it would need to be corrected by Asobo - and they've shown no interest in doing so. You know somebody selling FOV corrector software to full scale cockpit folks for $1M? Do you have a link to their website or product details? When you talk about "full scale cockpit folks" I assume you're talking about business operators? I wouldn't have thought many simmers are prepared to pay that amount. That said, I can't imagine what businesses are out there that would be paying $1M to correct FOV either. My recollection from P3D was that the issue could be gotten around with view groups that are a lot more flexible than the multi monitor/render window options we have in MSFS. Anyway, I'll accept that there's a solution out there but its limited to those who have between $150K-$1M.
