November 18, 2025Nov 18 I have virtually zero interest in the 777X. The F is more than enough to satisfy my 777 requirements. November 18, 2025Nov 18 The cargo world flies the heck out of the MD11 and 767 these days, they are hardly some ancient anomoly, and while the 744F is still used I don't believe the older models really are, at least I haven't seen any IRL. The 767 is something that still makes me keep XP12 installed, I'd kill for a quality one in MSFS! Same for the 777, only reason I fly it is cargo, and the PMDG rocks! I just don't see why they don't do the 767 😞 Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines

Because it was no longer flown widely by non cargo operators at the time of release and therfore the sales were not meeting comparable sales to the ones of aircraft that were and still are there. It's the same reason why PMDG sold the 737-600 for less than the -800. It is not widely operated, therefore less people would buy it. So they made it cheaper to account for that. Or why Fenix skipped the A318. I did not say no one should make vintage airliners. I just said why it makes less sense to make them and why no one should expect PMDG to make a 767 any time soon. many say the reason they didn't make the MD-11 is because the lead dev on that program went to a very well known airbus developer. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

November 19, 2025Nov 19 One thing I appreciated from the interview is Robert acknowledging that PMDG, though is known for generally doing a good job, should not always considered the bar and that MSFS sorta threw them into a "5 year process" of recalibrating their identity. They had to reorient themselves to new customer expectations from the upgraded environment of MSFS (namely sounds and graphics). For me, that was never much of a problem as I was more of a systems guy than anything (which hopefully they continue to improve). I rarely if ever go into the cabin and I have no idea how the sound environment is in the flight deck, as I'm not a RW pilot, so I sorta shrug it off as the current ones are sorta believable for a basic layman. None of those things are immersion killers for me. Graphically I never considered the modeling to be that bad. I've certainly seen worse on payware products. Honestly, I'm just happy that PMDG's contribution in bringing three families of high fidelity airliners to MSFS at such a great pace, even if they seemingly fall short to expectations to some. November 20, 2025Nov 20 I finally bought good speakers for my computer setup, and with Boris’ sounds, the -200ER with the Rolls engines…. word not allowed it sounds good. But if you want a treat, go to the IAE Fenix, move the camera to a couple rows in front of the engine and pull the power from TOGA to CLB. Best sound I’ve heard out of a flight sim.
November 20, 2025Nov 20 I always set up passenger cameras just ahead of the engines so I can get that perfect passenger engine sound experience. Agree the IAE Airbuses are a treat! Agree the IAE Airbuses are a treat! Are the IAE ones the engines with that "sawtooth" buzz sound? I love it when designers/sound engineers have that kind of differentiation, in that the GE sounds different than an IAE or P&W for example. Now it's mostly the norm with a hi-fi add-on but that wasn't always so. We're livin the dream dudes. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
November 20, 2025Nov 20 Commercial Member Yea the IAE sound much more aggressive during cutback after takeoff, it's a great noise. I'm also a big fan of the PMDG 737 low rumbling effect when the engines throttle back as descent starts - with a good headset it sounds fantastic. November 25, 2025Nov 25 I wish we get more detail on the exterior and what features externally we now have. It was briefly mentioned that FS2024 now supports user select visual options in the EFB. We have seen this on some other planes recently released. I would like to think the FS2024 737NG from PMDG will have this but it would be nice to know from the horses mouth.
