It's not as if this is a new DLC, it's basegame content that just wasn't ready when the game launched one year ago. Hardly qualifies a surprise but who knows.

  • Mostly I'm looking forward to the new Avidyne IFD 550/440 GPS from working title. It should be available after the Boom releases for use by anyone really.  For 2024 native aircraft it would be se

Well the first surprise was the PS5 release.... I was hoping the second one might be a little more exciting but it doesn't appear so. Hope I'm wrong.

I hope you're wrong too but I do remember Jorg speaking openly about the red bull races coming so maybe it's something else.

No this isn’t the surprise, it has always been public information from launch day.

Correct.  It is even featured as the first item in the sim start-up video.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Maybe they are shutting down the servers after December 31?

That would be a surprise, I'll give you that, lol

I also don't believe the Red Bull stuff is the surprise. At least I hope it isn't, because it's not really my cup of tea. We'll see 👍

This is definitely not the surprise. I have been watching the dev q/a videos all through and this has been known for a long long time. This was supposed to be in there from day one and has always been in the menus in the sim.

The surprises on the calendar slides are different. No idea what, but definitely not this

I think it was a paid for add on for 2020. Is this one going to be free with SU4?

You're thinking of the Reno Air Races, Red Bull races were not in 2020.

The RedBull races were meant to be in 2024 at launch but it got delayed because of some legal stuff or something with RedBull.

Looks fun!  Didn't fsx have that too?

Or I guess 2020 did as well

FSX did, 2020 didn't. 2020 had the Reno Air Races, which is now the Roswell Air Races since they moved. 2024 is meant to get that as well at some point.

Roswell air races? Are they racing flying saucers these days?
