  • It definitely will be. They’ve followed the same strategy for over a decade now. I’m skipping this upgrade…enough is enough. I’m much more interested in seeing what iFly delivers with their next updat

  • This to me is the most boring release of 2025. Now where's that amazing 757 and the 767 to follow by BlueBird?

  • I try to steer clear of PMDG discussions.  I have been a faithful customer for well over two decades and I can truthfully say I’ve bought every plane they have produced, for multiple platforms/simulat

Me TOO!!! I miss the J41. BRING IT BACK PMDG!!!!

ROG MAXIMUS X HERO, Intel Core i7 8700K, 32 GB's 3200 RAM, Gigabyte RTX3080,

I do have a love for aircraft I remember from my younger years.  The J41 would be amazing, and I’m looking forward to the 757.

Meantime I will be happy with the NG and Chaseplane 24 for Xmas hopefully!

At FSExpo this year I asked RSR if there was any chance they would ever bring back the J41. He said that it wasn't a zero percent chance, but the chance of it being resurrected is pretty low.

Yes, as someone said above, this would not meet their revenue forecast and marketing strategy. So, until there is some competition for the 737NG in MSFS, the 737NG iterations are likely to continue.

In FSX, I’d got the 737NGs from both iFly and PMDG within weeks of each other, with the iFly one, I recall, released before the PMDG. iFly now has the MAX, but it’s not 737NG…🙂…considering the NG lovers among us, including a few Baby Boeing 736 lovers…🙂

My recent attempt to resurrect the JS41 on my (discarded) FSX/SE system, had to be quickly aborted due to slide-show…

Update: It's been confirmed by Chris at PMDG that both winglet options are available for BBJ2: https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/376086-737-for-msfs2024-first-video-s-now-available?p=377307#post377307

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but we appear to be losing one of the BBJ winglet options in this upgrade/update.

I sometimes wonder if PMDG is trying to do kind of a social experiment to what extend customers are willing to pay more money for less value.

Those customers would probably also be annoyed if the development period was extended by another three months so that PMDG could add the other options. Of course, it would be another matter if they decided not to bother with the -600 at all. Full on Terminator mode would be activated if that happened

Said before.  Devs could sell an aircraft with square wheels if it's hyped alot .

flight factor just successfully sold a 777 as pay to beta product , then sold an additional engine variant, and the community lapped it up.

Id also argue Microsoft sold us all a pay to beta SIM .  So you can't blame pmdg for making a quick buck

Chris:

You and I are two diehard -600 fans, that I know of here…🙂…, who flew the Baby Boeing regularly in MSFS2020 (I’ve been on MSFS2024 since day two of release).

I also easily recall flying the first ever PMDG 737NG (a -600) back in FS2004. Now in MSFS2024, I will continue to fly the MSFS2020 version -600 (minus the EFB; which btw causes CTD for me). After all, the original (RW) 736 did not have an EFB, but it was a nice touch to have it for MSFS in the 736 equipment list.

Ironically, I’m sitting here, on my Sunday ritual, in the local (Seattle based) coffee shop…🙂…with a Grande Coffee plus a shot of espresso, for a total cost of about $5…🙂…So, in terms of Coffee, let me see what this upgrade cost is for the 736 in MSFS2024… (now with extra trimmings on this 737 variant, not achieved in the last 20+ years)…

Cheers…!
