December 11, 2025Dec 11 AI but no traffic what's going on? under GENERAL settings, I set ONLINE to OFFLINE AI traffic, and I see plenty airliners but nobody moves, nobody lands or takes off. only when I switch to ONLINE traffic it works as expected. I then completely de- and re-installed latest MSFS 2024 store version with: empty Community, fresh content.xml, no other AI tool installed. real world time and weather. no time acceleration. Global Rendering Quality: Aircraft Traffic Quantity + Aircraft Traffic Variety + Parked Aircraft Quantity + Parked Aircraft Variety: all set to ULTRA on first restart, I did get AI traffic. then I made some changes to SETTINGS (can't remember which) and restarted MSFS2024. Boom, no traffic movement. completely un- and reinstalled MSFS2024 again. still no more AI offline traffic movement. the aircraft are there, they just don't move and no more ATC. if no AI traffic at Heathrow EGLL, then where else? plenty orange colored AI aircraft at EGLL in LittleNavMap: anybody knows the magic AI trick switch? I don't want to resort to any 3rd party traffic tools just yet. it did work without and it has to work again. December 11, 2025Dec 11 SU4 broke sim controlled traffic. It's not a you issue. Edited December 11, 2025Dec 11 by Tuskin38
December 11, 2025Dec 11 Besides that, setting "Parked Aircraft Quantity" on "ultra" basically fills your airport up with AI planes sitting on the gates, many of them not related to any in-sim flight (at least to my understanding). If you like AI traffic, there is absolutely no way around a 3rd party addon like FSHud, BATC, SayIntensions, FSLTL etc. Even if sim controlled traffic is patched again. Personally I would go with FSLTL model library (easy to install) and FSHud or BATC. Just be aware that the jack of all trades does not exist, all have some kind of a tradeoff. AnkH: " setting "Parked Aircraft Quantity" on "ultra" basically fills your airport up with AI planes sitting on the gates, many of them not related to any in-sim flight " makes no difference if setting is on ULTRA or MEDIUM, just only 5 aircraft that don't move instad of some 40. ok, I got it: the good thing is: a 2024 re-install takes only a few minutes. 😁 Edited December 11, 2025Dec 11 by turbomax AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
December 11, 2025Dec 11 AIG with AIGTC has GA support for quiet some parts of the world by now. But yes, installation of AIG can be painful. Painfully slow and painfully complicated 😉 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

Painfully slow and painfully complicated 😉 I agree that AIG installation is a little time consuming, but it's not that complicated to install. I do remember when I installed AIG in 2020, I started it before bedtime and the next morning it finally completed. In 2024 all it takes is coping 2020 over to your 2024 community folder and just point the Manager to the new location. December 11, 2025Dec 11 My sky and and airports are served by FSHUD/AIG+GAmod. It is a powerful combination which works nicely on my system. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
December 11, 2025Dec 11 I downloaded and installed the full AIG packages. They have a decent GA option at GA airports. Give it a try, you can always delete everything without messing up your install. It injects pretty much as much GA traffic as you'd ever need. By default it uses the Asobo 'air traffic' models, of which there are lots, so variation is good. At the moment, you see tons of traffic at your origin, taking off etc. En route you'll see a few on TCAS but not many. They're working on en route traffic. For me personally (as a GA only simmer) it's the traffic set up I always wanted - lot's of it! Performance is excellent as well. On my modest RTX 3080 system, I have GA traffic set to '11' (the max) in SI, and there will typically by around 20 aircraft parked and ready to do their thing, at a medium-sized GA airfield. FPS hit is very minimal. December 11, 2025Dec 11 Author how is the visual quality of the AI aircraft? I remember from my earlier experiments with FSLTL etc. the visuals were not up to MSFS2024 level. even though AI optimized airplanes can and should look very nice, nearly like their flyable counterparts. Say Intentions, say what? $ 150,- every year for traffic injection? I don't think so. December 11, 2025Dec 11 PSXT + AIG Models + Real Traffic has been extremely accurate for me … minus the floating AIG aircraft models due to LOD issues in MSFS 2024. PSXT - free AIG Models - free Real Traffic - $108/yr I haven’t tried it yet, but you can use other product models instead of AIG just make sure they have the correct LOD structure for the models so you don’t get missing landing gear. Downside to NOT using AIG models is carrier accuracy. I’ve used FS Traffic and FSLTL “as is” (stand alone) and their carrier variance is not as complete as AIG. I don' see much difference. I've been using AIG, FSLTL, and FSTraffic (JustFlight). All of them showed the landing gear issue, maybe the one or other a bit more or less but it is definitely there and kills the immersion. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
