Heathrow Building Works by Matthew Ministry

Featured Replies

Looking for Heathrow Building Works by Matthew Ministry.
It goes with the following: https://library.avsim.net/file/95662-eg ... n-heathrow
I ran across an FTP website that had it, but unable to download from it. As I understand it, browsers no longer use FTP coding in their software and FTP has security concerns. I've tried several ftp packages with no success.

Thanks in advance.

I'd be more concerned about the name "Matthew Menstral" than I would the coding.

That is not what he said - the name is Matthew Ministry.

Like "aussiewannabe" the only site offering it is an FTP site and is a little dubious in the way it operates, insisting you download a file before accessing the file you want. I would not touch that with a bargepole.

Matthew is a well-established developer and provider of free downloads. My best suggestion is to check some others of his files for a contact address - he may be able to assist. Or perhaps contact William Morgan, the provider of the file that says needs Matthew's extra.

There is nothng insecure about FTP as such but many browsers have never supported it properly.

Best regards,

John

John,

Thank you for your suggestions. I've downloaded several of Matthew M.'s work, but the readme file has no contact information.

On the other hand, William Morgan's scenery packages includes a contact email. I've sent him an email and hope he gets it. I have quite a few of his scenery packages including Anchorage PANC and Fairbanks PAFA, both with my own traffic which I either researched or tracked online.

Just wondering if it'd be worthwhile trying the FTP link with a bootable CD Linux package?

Any "additional" software would likely be of no consequence in that environment, but the wanted file could be transferred to a USB stick or whatever for use in Windows.

I think this is doable.

At the moment, I don't have a spare flash drive to put Linux on. Not sure which distro to use, but I have watched some youtube videos as it relates to Linux and FTP.

Thank you for the suggestion, Chris.
