January 3Jan 3 I skipped all that chatgpt - my first flight MSFS crashed half way through luckily I paid only $30.

If a session CTDs mid-flight, it's normally:- A VRAM issue, or you're approaching an incompatible scenery, which MSFS has attempted to load and failed Neither of these are related to the PMDG. I honestly don't think this addon is causing CTDs mid-flight, but if that's what you've decided.... Did you attempt a further flight or was that it? You can insta set the weights and fuel but you cant have the ground sservice vehicles progressively load the aircraft, that functionality is only available through the fmc, and you still have to do it manually. Nothing on the tablet or ground ssrvices has been improved or changed in the 2024 version. My review will be from the stand point of my opinions of the PMDG bird having logged a substantial amount of time in the real thing as a captain. This for whoever gives two poops about it lol do you actually hear the nose wheel scrubbing when taxing whilst turning as like in the msfs 2024 737-800? Yes you do but it’s not a simple “off/on” situation. In other words, it depends on the make up of the physical taxiway, the speed at which your taxiing and if the ground is wet or dry. The sound is correct in th PMDG but the volume is not. It’s not that jarring of a soundin the real thing unless you are going fairly fast. In contrast, the integration of GSX into the Fenix airbusses is tighter than a squirrel's word not allowed, and it completely works. Just sit back and let GSX do its thing. January 3Jan 3 I confess that I've had a bias towards the iFly Max8 when it comes to 737's - that is, once I'd sorted the challenge of the 3-D mind game that is the EFB! While in MSFS2020 I liked the little PMDG737-600 and had the 700 too, for MSFS2024 I always thought that the iFly felt more 'real'. So I bought the PMDG737-800 on the Marketplace and, at the first couple of short flights, thought that the iFly still had the edge for realism, especially in VR. An example of the immediate difference was taxying. The iFly is so 'realistic' to be darned difficult to make even a gentle slow turn on the ground, even with all of the tips and tricks of slow, very slow, very, very slow, differential braking, differential power. The PMDG is the other end of the scale, it turns on the ground so freely, so easily, so fast and tightly that it feels a bit computer-gamey. And that tainted my initial view, that was: iFly - realistic; PMDG - computer gamey But in the interests of completeness, I then carried out multiple, identical short flights in each (EBOS Ostend to EGKK Gatwick), looking at specific aspects (panel views; in cockpit sounds; external view; external sounds; etc). Altogether around 6 flights for each. And, while I love them both, on balance I like the PMDG737-800 just a teeny bit more. January 3Jan 3 I do not have a problem with excessive "tyre scrubbing" sounds through turns in the PMDG 737-800. Maybe you guys are trying to take corners too fast? I tend to turn sharp corners at no more than 6-7 knots.
