January 2Jan 2 A retro aircraft ahead of it's time, I'm flying the Black Square Beech Starship from Las Vegas NM to Rocky Mountain Metropolitan (Jeffco) KBJC just north of Denver, CO. LAS by FlyTampa, BJC by Propair. Glorious paintjob by TimHH! Just after sunrise time to preflight her We'll depart RY 19R. We file for FL330 - and we should true out around 320 ktas or so - but we should have a partial tailwind. The routing is KLAS MMM BCE J60 DBL POWDR1 KBJC. Sin City Actually quite beautiful topography as we look toward Lake Mead/Hoover Dam area I actually picked up a little icing through that layer (was surprised to see any clouds here) We got some turbulence at 330 so we descended to 310 and settle in around 345 knots over the ground... For some reason I just love this flat area hehe... I assume its sandy or just rock? Not sure Moab, Utah and the uranium mine...along the winding Colorado River. Overhead Colorado ski country... Aspen on the nose! Leadville KLXV under the front wing - the highest public airport in North America! We get a shortcut to BASEE and begin our descent to cross POWDR at FL190 Denver, CO is the 19th most populous city in the USA (thanks google lol) Visual to RY 30R at BJC Such a unique aircraft! Glad to have it in the sim! Traffic high above and this Gulfstream who took my spot!!! January 3Jan 3 So, you got the Black Square Starship…🙂… quite a unique airplane… Very nice set of pictures… Brings back memories of a rare (tourist) bus trip from Las Vegas (via a Hoover Dam visit) to Grand Canyon… Yes, the topography of the region is exactly what you’ve shown… Thanks for sharing…!
January 7Jan 7 Lovely stuff Ryan. Love that plane and may drag it out of the hangar again myself, seeing these. And some lovely scenery and splendid shots as well. But also shows what is for me the one big remaining problem with 2024. The shot five from end, and the uglifacts (PG tree obelisks). I guess a lot of folk probably won't even notice them in a shot like this but to me they scream. They don't stop me using 2024, but I can't un-see them! If MAsobo or whoever is in charge of the AI these days could just sort this out, this really would be pretty much the perfect digital twin. But that is one strange beauty of a plane! Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

It's just a downside of TIN - I just don't think they can replace every TIN tree with a regular tree. Also we can turn off TIN but I prefer to use it generally speaking. Plus this is vexcel, the more higher res areas... I think the small TIN trees would have been discarded in the regular TIN but they are turned into obelisks because the data is so high res. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Hi Ryan, don't want to go off into any major digressions here, but I don't know some of your terminology. Is TIN another term for PG (photogrammetry)? And "vexcel"? Sort of assuming I might have gotten the gist anyway, it would explain why the problem is way more acute in some places than others. But if my reading, and your explanation, is right, then that almost makes it worse, in that the really detailed and high-res areas like LA and the SF Bay Area are the areas that invite you to get down and close up (if you use the sim like I do) but also can take a close up inspection least well. I know it is what it is, but I'd like to be able to hope it might get resolved one day, and preferably in this lifetime. All this talk of AI and it can't be programmed to deal with this? Seems unlikely, and especially if they're serious about the digital twin concept. January 10Jan 10 Incredible pictures, Ryan! Looking at them reminds me that I haven't flown Starship for way too long. It's such a gorgeous add-on. Greetings Tim My files on Flightsim.to i5 12600K | 32Gb | RTX 4080
January 15Jan 15 Very nice! I saw Jerry Jones' Starship a couple of times back in the 90's- ear splitting prop noise!
