What are you talking about? The wishlist keeps growing with items everybody wants, regardless of what platform they're on.

The point is that they don't care about addressing the things the community wants; rather, they're focused on growing the userbase via console ports. The future of MSFS is a big, shallow ocean. January 7Jan 7 7 hours ago, AnkH said: It is not. Meteoblue HAS the higher resolution maps, just zoom in on their official homepage. Perfectly fine with valleys not covered in snow. So it IS about what data Asobo gets from meteoblue. If they would want the higher res, they could have it. I guess it is a matter of cost... It may be that the higher resolution snow data (like in the Alps) might not “fit” into the existing terrain grid without major modifications to the sim. January 7Jan 7 Well atm live weather in sim matches real weather pretty much 🙄 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-abvlgxRa4I 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'

Its one of the first things I noticed a century ago when I arrived here as an avid gamer, and was almost run right off by some gruff "hard on the newbies" old timers who were either eventually disinvited over the years, or wandered off on their own.... It comes and goes in strength, but its always there. Heck, just call it a game, and see whut' happens. 🙃 Fun fact: I was the one who suggested the Welcome New Members subforum back in the Jurassic, because the RTFM! reception here from the "serious simmers" could be pretty rough, back in the day. They do what everyone wants, not one specific group. 2020/2024 has some of the most accurate Garmin avionics in any commercial home simulator. Hell it even accurately models the position of the GPS satellites in orbit. If they were catering to just the common user, they wouldn't have done that. Edited January 7Jan 7 by Tuskin38

A growing user base for MSFS is also good for the overall survival of the SIM and the community, been a witness to years of slow and painful death of FSX…with ever declining user base… The last thing we would like to see is our SIM that we love to be stagnant with no growth, whether in user base or new products…
