MSFS2024 Marketplace PMDG737-800 No throttle response

Featured Replies

This is driving me nuts.

The PMDG737-800, recently purchased from the marketplace, was working fine a few days ago.

Now - for the last two days - I cannot get it to respond to throttle increase whatever I do.  That is, whether I start from cold and dark, or start ready for take off, or spawn at the runway, or use the throttles with the mouse or use the throttles with my Bravo throttle block.

It affects all variants.  I have disabled it from streaming and re-enabled. When I move the throttles, the thin indicator on the N1 display correctly increases, but the engines themselves do not spool up beyond idle.

I've checked Failures and it says there are none active.

Any ideas?  Anyone else having this issue?

I’ve had this once which was specific to a particular Ryanair livery. No idea why.

If I wasn’t configured, moving the throttles forward would cause the takeoff config horn, but N1 would remain static. I believe it was exactly 20.0?

This was the version from PMDGs store and before their recent update. I’ve been away so haven’t even read the changelog to see if it’s been fixed, or at least reported.

Yup - exactly this.  I'll post a question on their support channel - I can't believe it's only affecting me...

Thanks for the reply 👍

Post script.  That is what it was doing yesterday but today it sits even lower at between 9.4 and 3.0

I see someone has responded over there with “Remove any and all bindings to engine fuel mixture.” I’m unsure why that would help me as it was specifically one livery. Not at my computer so can’t check, but I’d be intrigued to find out if it works for you.

OK - resolved, with the help of PMDG's support forum.

The mixture issue was raised there too, @MikeV1 and I checked but there were no bindings for mixture at all in my set up, BUT, in a similar vein, PMDG Support's suggestion was to delete ALL controls on ALL of my HOTAS units.  I did that (looking while I did for anything that might affect the engines - but finding nothing) and then re-set up a single command which was throttle axis...and the throttle successfully spooled up the engines.  I then, one by one, reintroduced my base HOTAS units and it was something in the Honeycombe Alpha (yoke) that the PMDG didn't like.  In that I always wipe all Honeycomb default settings as a matter of course, there weren't many commands there to begin with - but clearly there was something there that the PMDG didn't like.

So, just got to re-establish the minimum commands for the H Alpha and I should be back in the air again.

Many thanks for the input and suggestions.
