Best real world ATC is PSXT, no one could beat this. I regret spending money and partnership with SI. It’s a sect of word not allowed loving old implemented things like co-pilot and RAAS. Those things I have had for ages. ATC is a scam thing. No way to keep it ”as reel as possible” due to hard lock via SB.

SI is a very intrusive app. Recall very well when they succeeded to mess with 3pd aircraft’s.

I used VoxAtc a lot in Prepar3D but if I want to take it seriously now please answer the question when is it going to be released for MSFS2024? I am sorry but is it even going to be released? 
 

Don’t want to downgrade it because I had some epic flights with it in the early days but is it really going to compete with all the new solutions? But then again please surprise me…..

PSXT is not a ATC software but only traffic injection that means it only inserts traffic but does not control or seperate it.

That's a subjective question, people will arrive at different conclusions I'm sure, based on what's important to them.

If you mean will if offer subscription super voices, no it won't.  If you mean will its ATC logic be as good as or better, I think so yes.  If you mean does the UI look as slick as some, I'd have to say no not yet. 

Or perhaps better to rephrase the question... Can other solutions compete and provide IFR and VFR control for the user in an integrated manner as well?

I want live good traffic. And all a/c is via real live ATC. I just follow the flow. No AI. Immersion via live ATC

Again, that's not what ATC is as a simulator function. You can't be sequenced into it, you can't interact with it, nothing is actually being controlled. And more egregiously - in larger airports real-life ATC sequences things so tightly that there's likely no room for you to even participate. You're basically an unwanted presence at that point.

BATC released new update 2 days ago, so I decided to give it a chance on the US Soil, KORD - KDEN, two large hubs.

First of all, traffic representation was okeyish. Despite KORD weird taxiway structure, BATC deals with departing and arriving traffic flows very well, no traffic jams with two exceptions near T5 (international terminal) for 60 min of my observation.

Then came time to fly. KORD does not have SIDs, you are supposed to be vectored by ATC after take off, easy-cheese.  My T/O runaway was 28R, like in RL, heading 273 or something like that. Right after T/O, ATC immediately asked me to make 6 (six!!!) right turns (360, 90, 180, 270, 360, 90) over the KORD, before allowing me to proceed further. I guess BATC calls it vectoring 🙂  All my requests (via Direct-TO) to proceed to next WP were denied.  

Well, I killed BATC, ran SI/PSTX, request clearance in the air and happily proceeded to KDEN.

Yes I did read the changelog. I know it has nothing to do with what I described above, I'm just saying that scripted ATC is sometimes not a good idea. SI with its tolerance is more user friendly in this respect.

Flew into Antalya with SI..  There was an aircraft on the runway when I landed.  On departure I was cleared for take off with an aircraft on short final, that had also been cleared to land.

I've paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars and it's not improving.  I see new stuff about checklists and flows and all that.  But who cares if they can't get the basic stuff right?

I'm kind of mulling over BATC, but then I'm hearing stories above.  I've used it before and been vectored into mountains.  I don't like that I can't use it on an iPad or a separate interface away from the main screen, as my window goes all laggy when I click on the BATC window.  Maybe time to give FSHud another try.  

SI is still my program of choice and I love so much about it.  It's slick, easy to use, just loads up and knows exactly what I'm doing.  But this is such basic stuff...  Surely the core should be, "no aircraft on the runway when you are landing"  Every time I send a report.  Have been doing this for 12 months now.  "Was routed straight into a landing A330" etc.

This week I flew with Beyond Atc and SI.

With Beyond ATC I got cleared for the ILS approach at FL120

With SI I got cleared for the ILS while on downwind.

So yes................. 

The advantage of SI is that you can ask everything but sometimes it seems like the AI is totally lost and does not even know in which phase of the flight you are..................

But I do agree that I spend a lot of money for SI and that the basic ATC is still not good enough. They can not say anymore it is early acces. Come on it has been such a long time and a lot of basic ATC bugs have been reported so many times and are still there.

Please drop all the checklist, cabin crew etc. for a while and focus on the most important thing: the basic Atc and radio telephony!

Sometimes I wonder if it is possible to get it correct with the current AI models because it seems to lead its own life a lot of times.

I just bought a 3 month sub for this and compared it to Flightradar 24 and must say i was impressed! (NZAA to NZWN) I dont really care for the ATC side of things just that the traffic is as real as can be so i am one happy camper!

Are there any settings  i should change or things i should do to make it even more so? AT moment just all default... using FSLTL models... love it so far!

I wonder if either SI or BATC will look at going with Qwen3-TTS - open source, voice design as easy as Eleven Labs, so much less expensive than premium price AI compute. Could really change the math on both services, the voice quality is excellent.
