Next Version of MS Flight Sim will be in year...

I'd really like to see them address:

-Weather Shifts and inaccuracies at time.  Also snow cover not often correct.  Falling snow itself could use some work graphically.  3rd party would likely handle this better if they opened it up.

-Better tools to have AI/Dynamic traffic.  FSLTL is great.  But can't stand seeing planes take off with a 30knot tailwind opposite real life flow.

I certainly hope that they do not release a new version any earlier than 2028. New and improved is a great concept, but so is stability.

Whenever the new version is released, i hope they actually learn from the 2024 fiasco, and the state it was launched in.  And for once the 3rd party devs are involved early. This waiting a year to get

Hi,

Aside from the timeframe I'd like to see networking introduced into 202?. This would require the purchase of additional copies of MS202? for anyone running a network. That means more sales just by adding networking via simconnect, something that is already in place.

I am happy with MSFS2024 SU4.  Can you imagine the cost that we would all incur if another version would drop (Fenix, Inibuilds, PMDG and Scenery).   I am happy where we are.  Also consider the hardware costs (Memory and Graphics with a new version)

Hi,

Just one of the reasons I more or less consider that I'm renting these cards. For example, I purchased three EVGA 3090s new, used them until the 4090s hit the shelves, I purchased three Asus cards and sold the 3090s on ebay. Each card sold for over a grand, I spent $1,500 when new. So the rental cost was around $500.00 each.

When I purchase the next round of cards, I'll do the same and sell the 4090s on ebay.

I also switched to AMD, I can just swap out the CPU. No new m/b, ram required.

Depends if it will work on windows 11 after windows 12 is released.

Totally agree with Christopher.

Back in the FS98/2000/2004/FSX days every 2 years a new version came out. In the meantime no updates ( except for FSX ).

This will not happen now as we are getting update after update..

I am looking forward to at least another three years with MSFS 2024, and I do not want to even think about the next version for a long time. Correct the issues with the existing version, add an AI/ATC system that is at least as good as that in P3D (which had AI animation and ATC movements that were light years beyond what we have in default MSFS 2024), and give me lots of nice, shiny new airports with impressive amounts of internal and external detail (because my new PC can handle it). We do not need a new version any time soon.

Yes please, let's stay longer with one solid FS version. My happiest FS time was from 2007 to 2017, a decade with FSX.

Not anytime soon. The transition to 2024 has been hazardous and not even "done" yet.  I love MSFS and fully on board with new technology/ideas but they should implement them in 2024 instead of moving to another new platform. Another moving target would be a disaster for 3rd party developers which are already spread thin between 2020 and 2024. Keep pumping WO & SU updates, add features back that was present in 2020 (Bush Trips), update and refine the marketplace to help them making their money out of it and hopefully that would be enough for Microsoft to keep investing in this current platform

Arguably, the same thing happened with P3D over its various versions.

To a lesser extent with XP, too.

the devs that have the most problems are the ones who aren’t following the Asobo framework, or aren’t controlling for that adequately

for E.g., the FSR500 and A2A Comanche worked just fine on Day 1 of 2024. I’m sure there are others

the point is that Asobo has to keep improving the sim, and that requires changing the sim.

so, when 2028 comes out,  do not expect a seamless transfer.

the only thing we should expect is that v2024 and 2024 addons keep right on working - in V2024.

Nothing they can do about that. It’s a data issue not a sim issue

There is a lot that can be done, even more so with dare I say it “AI” … it’s more an issue of the cost of processing all that global data into more accurate representations of the objects/buildings/trees/etc. … might need to come from “other” financially backed sources that Asobo can leverage from.

2024 just got to a point where most people will use it. Realistically I think 2028, but im not eager to swtich again since I just now got all my planes, apps and payware working in the last few months.
