I guess FT is delaying KLAS on ORBX/Contrail because they'd like to get rid off glitches first.

Is that confirmed? Really great if this wasn’t a release and forget.

I don't involve myself in the flight sim drama, with that aside, I'm a happy customer of theirs and they do great work with frequent updates and they listen to their customer feedback. Like I said bef

Nope. It's purely my speculation based on previous experience with FT and platforms, such as ORBX and Contrails

Interesting this is still not on Orbx.  Fly Tampa is listed as a partner so no real reason why not other than perhaps they were waiting for a patched version which is now out.  I don't have a problem with the minimal upgrade fee I would just like to be able to purchase it at the upgrade price since I bought the previous version on Orbx.

I'v just installed v3.1 by re-launching the Flytampa installer (+cleaned the scenery indexes fiolder and my MSFS cache). The north side weird elevation is still present.

v3.1 patch review:

TLDR: STILL NEEDS WORK!!! 😡

Pros:
- Plateau on the approach to 26 has been fixed.
- Flattened photogrammetry south of the airport has been fixed.
- Lights disappearing seemed to be fixed.
- First set of Ghost buildings fixed. , but re-appeared north of the airport now.

Cons:
- AWFUL terrain elevation North of the airport. Vegas is supposed to be flat!
- Ramp elevation still wrong.
- Flattened photogrammetry still on the approach end of 26s.
- Ghost buildings north of the airport.

While others are still seeing weird terrain anomalies, I am seeing my virtual cockpit dash lights go bonkers at night, flashing and turning off and on while on ramps and Rwys. My Fenix is clearly affected, I’ve not checked others but it is definitely this scenery because if I replace it (addon linker) with the Glideslope pro version of KLAS, VC anomalies go away.  No flashing. No disruption of lighting.

Anyone else?

I have a feeling this issue is to do with how many light points are being rendered in the sim. On my triple monitor setup, if I'm flying into a well lit city at night, I sometimes get the flood lights int he cockpit flicker on and off.....won't happen as I fly away from a city or from light points. I just have a gut feeling its to do with a maximum number of light points that can be displayed....sort of like the simobject limit that (used to?) exist.... Just my hunch - Given how many lights there are being rendered in the Vegas area I wonder if thats it...

Yep. Can confirm and in a different aircraft. This is bonkers.

The scenery interfering with aircraft lighting is wild, how is that even possible?

You guys didn’t happen to be parked too close to the Janet terminal by chance? 😀

Reading this with some disappointment- FlyTampa used to  be one of the pre-eminent scenery developers with superb releases.

I hope they can work on reclaiming lost ground… very unusual for this sort of thing to occur with their releases.
