What is Gmax ?

Recommended Posts

I understand it is for designing aircraft for FS2002 but, apart from having the software, exactly what material do I need to do begin such a procedure. I would like to do some of the older Icelandair aircrafts, I have all the models for these planes out of FS98,FS2000 and 2002, can I use them and if so how do I use them. Can I paint with Gmax. Is the a website covering this issue?Regard

Arni,Gmax is a scaled down version of 3d Studio Max, a 3d modeling program. It is used to create 3d models and scenes. When used properly you can create aircraft and scenery items for FS2002. It does have a very steep learning curve. It is NOT a paint program. You can find many posts reguarding Gmax in this and many other forums around the web. So read... read... read... and experiment. Start off at:http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/gmax...umer/index.htmlandhttp://www.gmaxsupport.com/html/forum.asp#In order to export your creations you will need the Professional version of FS2002 as it has the required files for export.
