February 10Feb 10 Maybe its an over reaction but for now I decided to remove this plane from my system and every file that came with it along with the FSL Control Center. It seemed like it was stable at first but the more I played around with it the worse it has become. Not just issues within FS2024 but even strange issues with my computer system in general. First thing is many times the plane would just fail to start up correctly. Often some of the instrument displays when not fully boot up and show errors (Red X's and Red Lines in the airspeed and altitude ribbons for example) . Currently failures are set off. If I do manage to get it booted up correctly FS2024 would have bugs like the mustache thing at the top center with the options would just be a blank box. Other odd problems Like slewing this plane into position somewhere will often cause the plane to just start bouncing between the ground and a thousand feet up in the air. I quickly got the point you can't slew this aircraft. When it worked performance was actually not bad but it was at the point something was broken with the plane every time I wanted to fly. It was just not the plane or FS2024 but issues with my system as well. About 50% of the time when I turned on my computer and tried to enter my windows password my keyboard was not responding. It took a few reboots before it would finely work. During reboots my system was always asking if I really wanted to turn it off as others are logged into my computer. Deleting everything related to FSL seems to have fixed it. Windows Defender is showing as clean but interestingly it said the same before so I don't know? Its obvious this plane is just not ready and I have shelved it for now. I may revisit it later if FSL makes a positive direction in stability and usability. I also hope the Fenix Neo's are not far away since I really want to do some Neo flights. For me Fenix is not only stable by a factor of plus 1000% but is also much more usable.

I've never had any of the problems you've described with my neo, but then I don't use the 'Experimental' version. Yeah it was the experimental channel as I wanted to see the updates and the PW engine version. When I first installed the A320Neo it was the standard version and it really did not give me any issues. At first the Experimental build did not give me many issues or performance problems but it got steadily worse and worse to the point I was fighting it just trying to get a version that boots up properly. Occasionally it would work but I would soon find the little task bar in FS2024 on the top of the screen would be blank. Never seen that before. I was also getting spooked about my PC behavior after installing the FSL A321Neo on my system. The majority of the time my keyboard was not working on boot up. Strange I know but the problem started when I installed all the FSL stuff and the problem has gone away after uninstalling it. It was indicated in the press release that in a few days the PW model will be available on the standard channel. I don't think this has happened yet or if it will even make a difference. Its not a bad model "When it works" but on my system especially after installing the Experimental version everything just went haywire. I have read on several forums that occasionally the plug ins get screwed up or don't install correctly. So its possible if I reinstall it everything will work just great again but I want to get some more feedback before I do. My computer is slightly older but has been solid reliability wise. I don't have issues with anything else. In fact I get better performance than what people report with much better hardware than I have. A new system is in the books for this year but not until the 4th quarter. Sad we have to run our lives like a business these days. I miss the days of just going to buy a new computer for the heck of it. I do wish and wait for the Fenix A32X Neo package since it has never given me any issues. Its my understanding from previous information is the models are done and most other details are done but the developer is just waiting for some sort in fleet wide update that can be brought to both packages at the same time. This does not sound like it will be much longer but lately its taking a long time to develop things in FS2024.

February 11Feb 11 Hello everyone, To keep you better informed about what we’re working on, we’d like to share an update on our current performance optimization roadmap. We are currently testing a new internal version of FSL Control Center that introduces the first step of a broader performance improvement plan. Step 1 – Optional Cabin Seat Removal Users will have the ability to disable cabin seats entirely. When enabled, the aircraft cabin will appear empty. This is the first measure aimed at improving performance and reducing VRAM usage. Step 2 – External Model LOD Optimization We are implementing a LOD-optimized version of the cabin and seats for the external model. This ensures that when viewing the aircraft externally, significantly less memory is used compared to the fully detailed internal cabin view. Step 3 – Model Optimization On a technical level, this involves reducing the overall node count by intelligently grouping elements that do not need to exist as separate nodes. This will improve efficiency without affecting visual fidelity. Step 4 – Texture Optimization We are carefully reducing selected texture resolutions where possible, ensuring measurable memory savings without compromising visual clarity. We expect Step 1 to be available once FSL Control Center v148 has completed testing — likely within the next couple of days. Steps 2, 3, and 4 are planned to be delivered together next week, assuming no unexpected delays arise during testing. In parallel, we currently have approximately 60 bug fixes undergoing testing for next week’s update, addressing many of the key issues identified by the community. We’ll continue to keep you updated as progress continues. Thank you for your support. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
February 11Feb 11 Thanks for this update. I’m not an owner yet but have been on the fence for a while. Was planning on gambling at the weekend as like the look of many features (like the ads-b tcas) and like to support devs so we have a rich tapestry of options. (I’m well aware of the past but was a happy customer in my P3D days and that’s good enough for me). will my WinCtrl hardware (Airbus) work out of the box with SimAppro? thanks again.

February 11Feb 11 i purchased it today and yes, struggeling with MCDU and EFB is a pain in th a... Fenix did this a lot better. But man, the plane itself, the freaking awesome sound, opening the cockpit windows and baaaaammm. This is how i would expect the Fenix. The FSLabs is so much joy and feels and flys great, i really felt in love during my flight from LECO to GCFV. The landing was much more challanging compared to the Fenix, Carsten U

Actually I made a profile full compatible with the FSLabs buses for Mobiflight WinCTRL profile FCU 32 / EFIS-L/R 32 / MCDU 32 / Ursa Minor Throttle 32 / PAC 32 / ECAM / AGP 32 Uploaded to the user forum and at Flightsim.to you even gain some performance less Simconnect stuff in the background compared to simAppPro. Hence I'm using SimAppPro for firmware updates and checking my hardware that's it... If you don't have all the above mentioned hardware you can deselect which ones you don't have.
