VFR Pilot in a SR22- going into ACK- at dusk? That place is pretty much IFR most of the time, and if the flight briefer (he should be using one flying there) said even margnial VFR he should have stayed home.Looks like a little bad luck from the weather, but considering the general weather trends there during the summer (he lives there!) he probably should have known better- so I'd say inadvertant flight into IMC was the culprit.
