Project Griffin is being developed with active Boeing 787 Dreamliner pilots on the Vector team; ensuring real-world operational experience informs every stage of development. From cockpit workflows to system logic and day-to-day usability, pilot insight is embedded directly into how the aircraft is designed, tested, and refined.

Our goal is not simply to reproduce an aircraft visually, but to build one that feels coherent and credible across all phases of flight, from cold and dark preparation through cruise and into arrival.

  • Accuracy in modelling and system behaviour
  • High visual fidelity inside and out
  • Performance-conscious design
  • Immersive audio and environmental detail
  • Support for shared and collaborative flying experiences

This is not just another aircraft release. It is our vision of what the best long-haul aircraft in flight simulation should be. Coming in 2026!

We will also be present at FSWeekend in March and look forward to engaging with members of the community there.

please release a factory new, clean, polished version as well, for those of us whom like simulating roll out day, first customer delivery etc... getting ignored and left out as every designer is releasing filthy dirty aircraft that no option for cleaning exists... thank you and hope you'll consider a clean version too.

We went deeper than ever into what we’ve been building - from core systems through to the aircraft itself. Here are a few images from the presentation.

 

Building on the screen shared last week, these additional electrical synoptic pages expand the same scenario and start to reveal the level of system depth taking shape across the aircraft.

 

Alongside this, you’ll also spot TCP interaction, a SATCOM call in progress, weather radar options, and CDU routing - just a glimpse into how everything connects.

 

Some data shown is work-in-progress and subject to change.

 

And it’s not just about the systems. From intricate engine detail to electronically dimmable windows and bold exterior angles, the aircraft is taking shape inside and out.

Incredibly pleased to see you guys are in fact “the real deal”. We’ve needed a high fidelity 787 going back to 2020 and I knew that PMDG wouldn’t develop a 78 until MSFS 2032. I look forward to seeing all the updates to this development! Do you guys have Discord up yet?

PLEASE, for the love of god - give it the full treatment for CFD and physics, too! 🙂

 

I see that one or two people in the comments section over at FSElite have been looking at the released screenshots with a microscope, and pointed out that the cabin windows apparently look too big (and are not aligned correctly with respect to the AMERICAN letters on the side of the plane). They also mentioned that the nose wheel looks too low, but it is just possible that the screenshot was taken when the aircraft was under braking.....

Anyway, I am not worried. This looks to be a very deep simulation of the 787, and I am sure that we are all extremely excited to get our hands on the finished product 👍

While avsim has it's own set of problems, the comment section over at fselite can truly be insufferable at times. Someone commented they didn't have a lot of faith because they somehow misconstrued that Vector claimed the EDWs was a flagship feature.

I'm not one of those commenting on fselite, but you really don't need a microscope to identify the modeling inaccuracies.

This IMHO doesn't fit the 'next level' proclamation that was being made. Pointing this out is absolutely justified and may lead to improvements before it's too late, hopefully.

I remain sceptical. This all screams inibuils in my ears.

We do appreciate commuity feedback and we do not hide behind "it's a WIP". 

We have taken the comments on-board and whilst some comparison photos have been shown, landing gear position as an example, with a fully laiden aircraft it does indeed sit very low.

Other items pointed out are where we will improve on for release.

Regarding physics and CFD, these are very high on our pillars.

that would be boss as a future enhancement to show a clean delivered plane getting dirty over time

MS2024 does support this feature. In career mode dirt accumulates and then you have to clean your aircraft to get it shiny again.

OMG - those guys…? Some of the biggest prime Donna’s I’ve ever seen.

For me, at least, it’s become make or break.

For reference, Take a spin in the AeroDynamics T-38C, or the new FSW LearJet v2 (which flies unbelievably well in 2024).

It’s the highly nuanced subtleties, not just hitting the grid numbers😎🤙

Anyhow, glad to see you guys so far along. Really looking forward to seeing how it’s received by (reasonable) people !
