Windowed Mode / History of airport selection

Every time I select and save MSFS 2024 to perform in Windowed Mode it reverts back to Full Screen when I restart MSFS.  Is this a known issue?

Also, when selecting a departure airport, shouldn't the drop down list show previous airports I departed  from the past?  It only shows Recommended Spots.

Thanks, Clutch

My understanding is the departure airport history is not saved if the sim is in Developer mode. So if you do have Developer mode on, try turning if off, then exit and restart the sim to see if that makes a difference with departure airport history.

also try backing out of fullscreen mode before exiting sim then close ouit in windowed mode.

Thx for replies.  I was in Developer Mode so I will turn that off to see if it keeps history.  As for fullscreen, I have always been closing down in Windowed mode.  But when I restart... it is in full mode. So are you saying it should be working?  Can you verify thatwith your system?  Thanks.

I think it's like this: Use alt-enter to change from windowed to full screen or back to windowed, don't use the msfs settings to do that. Use alt-enter to choose windowed mode, quit the sim, and it will be in windowed mode when you next boot up msfs.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Use keyboard only to go into windowed mode while msfs is still running. Drag the edges to make the window slightly less high and wide than you monitor screen. Now you will have no trouble booting up msfs. Then use the keyboard (alt enter) again to go fly in full screen.
