March 1Mar 1 Hi, I know absolutely nothing about this subject. I'm running 2024 but am not sure what my settings should be re my TV. Below is a photo I just took of the TV I'm using, it's older. Should I buy a new TV? Or should I adjust my settings in-sim, but to what? I very much appreciate any help. Jack Jack Sawyer
March 1Mar 1 @Jack_Sawyer So, you are projecting your MSFS2024 (installed on a PC, unlike mine on Xbox…🙂…) on to TV. Right? That looks like an HDMI cable connection to me. So, that should do, I think. Is it a 4K TV? I’ve a 4K TV (for my Xbox) and it works very well. (Probably, a question, better answered in the hardware forum…) Edited March 1Mar 1 by P_7878

Hi Jack: You can find out if your TV is 4K or not, from the Model Number on the back. I am not able to see clearly the last few (alphanumeric) characters of the Model Number in your image. However, assuming, it's "UN50NU7100P", I asked AI, "Is it UN50NU7100P a 4K TV?". It (instantly) replied, "Yes, the Samsung UN50NU7100 (or UN50NU7100P) is a 4K Ultra HD TV. It is a 2018 model in the Samsung 7 Series with a native resolution of (3840 x 2160) pixels. It features HDR support, smart TV capabilities, and includes a UHD engine for upscaling." So, yes, it does look like you already have a 4K TV, but as always use AI feedback with (additional) human judgment (and emotion) ...🙂... which AI lacks... My 4K TV is already 5+ years old. I got it the day I installed MSFS2020 on my Xbox, and it's going strong still ... Cheers...!
March 1Mar 1 Author Thanks! Now, how should I set the settings to take advantage of it or make it match or whatever it’s called? Jack Sawyer

Jack: Let’s see if any knowledgeable folks here could provide advice to you on this matter. I’m away from my MSFS/TV now, but will also take a look later. I recall I just used the factory defaults, but didn’t have to change (or reset) anything.

March 1Mar 1 I say you have a great TV for msfs. Not much settings if any are needed on the TV. Only settings in msfs, or in Nvidia Control Panel. I would download the latest Nvidia game ready video driver. And then download and install DLSS Swapper. And then install the latest dlss and dlss fg files using DLSS Swapper. And also use Swapper to choose preset M. I use DLSS anti alias in msfs settings and DLSS Frame Generation 2X in msfs settings. This doubles my framerates. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I appreciate the help though. I just needed to make sure of how to set the sim. Jack Sawyer
