I genuinely hope Carenado continues to support and refine this aircraft

Yeah, and I just got a call from the current Miss Universe: she's inviting me on an all expenses paid week long trip to Cancun!

I am never buying another Carenado!  After this one.

I feel like every post about Carenado becomes a promotion for Black Sqaure. 😀

That is hardly a fair statement relative to this vendor.  Like many others posting here, I've purchased my fair share of Carenado planes, and I've done so knowing that they're "light" from a systems p

very nice.

I've seen more excitment at an old folks home bingo game:

I guess I'll wait for the BS 350 Version.

That would be advisable.

I gave in, I just am too partial for Beechcraft planes. Twitchy indeed, but I found  few things that may be worth mentioning:

- I am using an Octavi mini-cockpit, especially with any King-Air models because the heading knob is on the center pedestal and really inconvenient if you fly in a simulator. That works great with Blacksquare models and most other airplanes, but the Carenado plane does not recognize any input from it. And since all files are encrypted, there is no chance to fix this ourselves. I hope Carenado will fix that or at least publish the variables so that we can try ourselves.

- I had some turbulences on approach to CYQM. The plane is twitchy, of course, but I also have the impression something really weird goes on when your speed is below 120 Kts. I got repeated stall warnings and corresponding handling even though I was above 100 Kts with flaps full down. If you then put the throttle forward, the plane is very hard to keep from climbing, almost as if the autopilot was still on.

I agree with some others who wrote above that the basis is very nice. I hope they fix the problems to make it a really nice airplane.

Describes the last 20 planes they have released.

May have to consider this as I don't think I would get a BS King Air if it has a 350 airframe but analogue gauges (as in 2020 which I passed on). I would rather have the older B200 with analogue gauges.  Takes me back to FS2004/FSX and the Aeroworx B200.  I know it is not the way Carenado do business but perhaps there will be some worthwhile updates for the B200.

I don't think you're going to impress the current Miss Universe by showing up with a rust bucket like the King Air B200.

It's meh. Still nice to have in the sim though. Prop doesn't feather in flight, sounds don't particularly bother me. Not sure if it's locked behind encryption, but i'd imagine someone out there will do some tweaking if it's possible.

  • 2 weeks later...

Spent on hour last night just taking off from Placeville KPVF In all the GA planes I have

I got to give it to Carenado they sure make pretty planes.

Came real close to buying the new King Air 200.

Food for thought...

I wish blackSquare and Carenado would get together to greater a plane.  can you imagine getting the best of both worlds in one plane. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Carenado updated yesterday the B200, however still can't make my Saitek throttle quadrant to use the condition levers like any other turboprop add-on, anyone else? Very annoying.
