Radar altimeters, change with bank and pitch?

HiI'm just wondering if a radar altimeter, typically found in GA, is subject to bank and pitch error in the readout. The radar "beam" will be i.e. 500ft above ground at level flight, but will this "beam" tilt with the aircraft when you bank or pitch the aircraft, resulting in a higher readout (indefinate in a 90

Hi Karl,it would depend from what reference point the Rad Alt is computed (from the FS vars). I suspect that the ref point is the center of the aircraft (from a 3D model perspective). I could test this out later for example with a digital RADALT (such as the reality xp 737 ADI) and raise the nose on the ground to check what is the magnitude of the value change compared to the nose altitude gain. Unless you have a pretty big aircraft though, the pitch and roll bias shouldn't be too much of a problem.
