TWA 800...FOIA battle yielding results

Recommended Posts

Forget all the other "theories" and look at TWA800 facts: Clinton WAS initially told it was a terrorist attack. This occurred, what, a week before the Atlanta Olympics? Think what that would have done to the Games...cancellations by the thousands. They probably would have had to cancel or at least postpone the Games. But just the timing makes you wonder.Look what happened to the economy in general, and the airlines in particular after 9/11. People knew what could result from a terrorist attack on US airliners back then too. (There was just no way to blame 9/11 on mechanical errors)BobK (Not a "conspiracy theorist" - just one who doesn't think TWA800 spontaneously combusted)

>Forget all the other "theories" and look at TWA800 facts: >>Clinton WAS initially told it was a terrorist attack.bush was told WMD's were "a lock" in iraq. government can and is wrong lots of times. this idiocy simply proves the government cannot coverup a massive story like this. EVERY SINGLE REPORTER IN THE UNITED STATES WOULD WANT TO BREAK IT. despite all this you believe the government can simply, cover it up? wake up.http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/07/12/twa.terrorism/index.htmlof course they THOUGHT initially it was a terrorist attack. that is a logical conclusion given the information at the time. so you take this as proof of a terrorist attack?>This occurred, what, a week before the Atlanta Olympics? >Think what that would have done to the Games...cancellations>by the thousands. They probably would have had to cancel or>at least postpone the Games. But just the timing makes you>wonder.some terrorist BOMBED those olympics yet they still went on. Pan Am 747 was BLOWN UP by terrorists over Scotland and people still traveled. besides marion jones was high on roids at the time, no one would stop her from getting her gold. :)>Look what happened to the economy in general, and the airlines>in particular after 9/11. People knew what could result from>a terrorist attack on US airliners back then too. (There was>just no way to blame 9/11 on mechanical errors)the airlines were in trouble BEFORE 9/11. 9/11 was their excuse. don't worry about "blaming" 9/11, there's the "loose change" crowd hard at work....

EVERY>SINGLE REPORTER IN THE UNITED STATES WOULD WANT TO BREAK IT.>despite all this you believe the government can simply, cover>it up? wake up.WMD is still an open issue. Time will tell. (Remember, even "Baghdad Bob" thought they had them. He promised they were going use them on us during several "news conferences".) ;)>of course they THOUGHT initially it was a terrorist attack.>that is a logical conclusion given the information at the>time. so you take this as proof of a terrorist attack?Nope. No proof for ANY TWA800 theory has been presented yet. Remember, the fuel tank explosion can not be duplicated the way that it's supposed to have happened.>some terrorist BOMBED those olympics yet they still went on.>Pan Am 747 was BLOWN UP by terrorists over Scotland and people>still traveled. besides marion jones was high on roids at the>time, no one would stop her from getting her gold. :)That was near the end, and everyone who was coming, was already here.>the airlines were in trouble BEFORE 9/11. 9/11 was their>excuse. They were on their way to being in serious trouble, but you can't deny that the events of 9/11 didn't speed it up and make it much worse. A LOT of people stopped flying for a long time. Besides, as I said, it wasn't just the airlines. The stock markets and just about everything but security-related businesses were hurt. >don't worry about "blaming" 9/11, there's the "loose>change" crowd hard at work....Agree on that one. One doesn't have to like him or agree with anything the president does, but to hate the man enough to buy into that BS is just plain stupidity. BobK

It was the airlines that created and allowed 9/11. Maybe they even trained the terrorists, or at least offered them gate passes.John

Complicity vs. ConspiracyWhen we are privy to any information and we choose to ignore it and remain uninvolved, our choice evaporates because the information itself is what involves us. The choice becomes whether we want to remain part of the problem or become part of the solution. There is no fence-sitting in life. We cannot be aware of what is going on and not do any opting. One who ignores what is going on, justifies this by pretending he doesn

Is there a single sentence in the above post that belongs in Hanger Chat? A single one??? Sorry, but I don't understand what this post has to do with aviation, something thousands come to Avsim for when we tire of the Web's many forums spouting pseudo-philosophy and lightweight intellectualism written in arrogant tones that assume we wouldn't have heard all this before, studied this already, and know very well the occupation of Goebbels. And anyone who thinks "no one can win an argument" assumes there are no arguments illogically founded. What an ironically illogical argument.-mv
