As you mentioned, I don't have the facts either. I go by the complaint and believe there are many customers with valid questions that don't sit well with the developer. Somebody buys a product and is not quite happy, simple as that. It's not about me digging into people being banned as they describe. You're quick to accuse me, even though I'm not the one creating these issues. It's a new trend: where people are assumed to be entitled, rude, or obnoxious when legitimate questions are asked. I think you got this completely wrong. YOU GUYS CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT. DON'T GO PUBLIC WITHIN ANY FORUMS ON THE INTERNET, OR JUST IGNORE. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

These are First World “problems”. A. It’s always been Caveat Emptor, and nothings changed in that regard B. Good developers always take far, far longer than we think they “should” C. The alternate options available to us have never been greater - there is absolutely no excuse for anyone to miss out on a good time these days. D. Early Access gives anyone the ability to fly an aircraft today that they might not otherwise have had the chance. And again, see A above. And in re the iFly 737 in particular, it seems like the addon is mostly functional in 2024 from what I’ve seen…? So I just don’t understand all the angst. April 1Apr 1 No angst on my part. Product came out for 2020 and people are still calling it early access. Makes no sense to me. I have only flown it maybe twice in 2024 and like you I saw no major issues. Loved it in 2020 I do have a problem with how people nowadays just accept that products are going to be made word not allowed and broken. Not just the sim world but all products. Am I supposed to boycott every product made now. So I guess I do have an "Angst" after all. Anyway, I got to go fly. My fake mail needs to be delivered. 🙂 Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

April 1Apr 1 I want to know what you said that was a “light hearted April fools” comment because I can pretty much promise you it came across as accusatory. These things take time. Boeing and Airbus have massive teams designing these planes and developers often have like a dozen people. It’s complex stuff also. The iFly is perfectly flyable in MSFS2024 and making it seem like such an emergency that you finally had to make a comment on these forums seems overly dramatic.
April 1Apr 1 Moderator @MariuszKr, If Steve Halpern is still the main man over at Flight1 see if you can contact him directly. I’ve known Steve since the late 90s when I beta tested FSClouds for FS98. I last met him on a flight from Atlanta to Washington Dulles in 2006 when we were attending the AvSim conference. I’m sure he would be appalled if you were given a holiday for asking a question. Ray (Cheshire, England). April 1Apr 1 I don't hang out on the consumer-facing Flight1 discord because I'm on the other one, so I did not see this exchange. Knowing the moderator you mention, though... I would be willing to bet you earned the ban. He's a reasonable guy; I can't think of anyone on that team who would just randomly ban people for the fun of it. Quite a bit has been shown of the work that has been done on SP1 at this point, so your claim of "abandoned" software is simply irrational. Is this an April Fool's post or something? Andrew Crowley

April 1Apr 1 This sort of reminds me of the QW787. I pointed out many obvious items that needed correcting via the customer forum. I never got any responses and eventually the entire project seemed to be abandoned by the developer. It also reminds me of the time Amazon tried to get into the Cell Phone business. April 1Apr 1 I own the F1/Ifly Max. I purchased it for 2020 with a promised upgrade for 2024. At the time it released 2024 was not even on the market. I sure they are working on the changes and will release Sp1 when its ready. They don't owe me any explanation why it's taking so long unless they want to provide one. I'm anxious as the next person, but I have plenty other planes to keep me busy. But to be banned from their discord site, the OP had to have said the magic word to them. I complained, raised many issues about the experimental 2024 version and never been banned. If he had read their discord announcement page, they updated everyone one the progress of SP1. I was one of the victims of that fiasco. This isn't like that at all. Many people raised issues when this product was released; I know, I was one of them. What was impressive was how seriously they took the feedback. We had multiple updates within a few weeks of launch, correcting all the big ticket items. Work has continued since then on what is a VERY polished SP1, in testing now. The team (and many of us testers) have given multiple updates on the status of SP1 along the way and especially over the last month or so as we get close. I don't like devs who push unfinished abandonware either. Let's be very clear that iFly is not one of those devs. Edited April 1Apr 1 by Stearmandriver Andrew Crowley

They make the rules and if you don't like them you can go find or even make a place with rules you do like. And that is 100% correct. The recurring issue is that many developers forget the real truth: they are in business because of the customer, not the other way around. They often feel, as you mentioned, that they control the narrative and become frustrated by legitimate questions. I dislike the phrase "the customer is always right," which isn’t true, but an unhappy customer will vote with their wallet. Let's not get carried away and think it's okay to silence what we don't like or hide behind all kinds of excuses. Regarding this Ifly737, many of us, the real-world pilots, find it an excellent product—even in its beta stage—that puts to shame other developers who "updated" their software a few times a year and still release buggy versions with unrealistic flight characteristics. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

Now im very doubtful just how lighthearted your comment was, even more so considering this is your third ban. Im well aware that Flight1 is a small team and does massive updates rather than incremental ones. Not to mention the recent stream and update posts on SP1 give me the confidence that they’re cooking. I don’t need anything more, the current planes works in fs24 just fine and I got other planes to fly. I really don’t see what they’re is get all up in arms about. You’ve been simming for 30 years yet you haven’t grasped that this entire hobby is measured in months and years not days and weeks in terms of development progress?
