This should be reason enough to throw MSFS 2020 into the trash can!

Haha, they're trying hard to keep up with the iFly.  Not quite managing though, especially compared to what's coming out soon from iFly.

Yep. 2024 is superior than 2020 in every way. Better physics, better weather, more options for the third parties to build more realistic aircraft.

Yeah because those are the aircraft so many people have wanted to buy! Randazzo is a pragmatist, and a successful one.  He'll adjust PMDG’s business model as necessary to continue that succe

looks don't count 🤣

unless they look that good.

this is how all aicraft should look in 2026. as if they had assistance from Carenado.

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

I didn't upgrade my PMDG 737-800 to MSFS 2024 yet, but if the new textures are this good, I may finally pay the "few cups of coffee" upgrade fee because this looks really good.

i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Great, no more jpeg textures. Glad to see PMDG finally getting a handle on their visuals. About time!

Wow that comparison is massive!  Huge difference there.  Glad I waited for the 700... that's the BBJ version I love!

I'm just not convinced, looks to me like pretty much all of those comparison shots were taken under different lighting conditions.  So how much of any visual differences are due to the better lighting capabilities of the sim engine itself as opposed to the modelling? I wonder...

The 2020 shots do look suspiciously low res. I don't remember it ever looking that bad. We are on the edges of advertising standards regulations I think.

Impressive!

Despite all the critics, some of them surely deserved, I still enjoy my PMDG aircrafts very much. Always fun to enter the flighdeck of thoses 737 or 777.

Can't wait! And also glad that full power will finally be applied of the different 747.

Competition is always good for the consumers. I like what I see.

cheers,

Even though I basically only fly PMDG aircraft these days, I do agree that some of the MSFS 2020 screenshots look a bit low resolution. Having said that, the ones that look like that are generally internal areas, and I never really looked at those in MSFS 2020.
