For me PMDG is dead as a supplier Same reason they kept selling their Prepar3D line until 2024: because people were still buying them. But note that the P3D products weren’t receiving any updates during that entire time If you’re too cheap to pay a few bucks for a major rework/upgrade, then I’m sure PMDG doesn’t care about losing you as a customer. And please don’t bring up Fenix - sooner or later, Aamir is going to charge for a new version, so enjoy it while you can.

And will surely have for the next 20 years also Yeah because those are the aircraft so many people have wanted to buy! Randazzo is a pragmatist, and a successful one. He'll adjust PMDG’s business model as necessary to continue that success. Just as we’re seeing with the 741, and whatever the other couple of unannounced aircraft in development are. “just can’t stand the horrible interface of 2024 and will never ever use it.” oh, come ON, man…! How many years of Flightsim history do you have? I gladly sometimes fire up FSX to see damages, P3D to fly 787 and Dash You’re clinging bitterly to the past. Nearly all my 2020 addons are at least Compatible with 2024. And the ones that are Native are SO MUCH better than what was available in 2020. Really, across the board. I got started simming back in X-Plane 11, Prepar3D v4, and DCS World (So not too long ago, but long enough and broad enough that I’ve got fairly good perspective). EVERY sim goes through good and bad periods. And AFAICT, EVERY one gets progressively better. 2024 is the continuation of 2020, and is by any measure one of the most sophisticated flight simulators ever. But yeah, it’s not perfect by any means, and I still frequently fly in X-Plane and DCS, and from time to time in P3D for the small handful of superb addons there that still have no equal in any other sim. But I spend most of my time in DCS and MSFS 2024, because they’re overall the most satisfying sims at what they do. But you know what sim I NEVER fly anymore…? yeah, MSFS 2020. Still installed - and getting dustier by the day. Still a good sim, but it’s yesterdays news - no longer relevant. Edited April 4Apr 4 by UrgentSiesta

A majority sceneries worked day one of 2024's release (I personally don't know of any that didn't). Most aircraft addons had to be updated/rebuilt, and all the ones I own have been, some were even ready by day one or close to it, from devs Microsoft gave early SDK access to. April 4Apr 4 I have a LOT of freeware addons. I almost now have any many for 2024 as I did in 20. I think I counted the number one on hand that didn't work or looked weird in 24. There were some.quirks but many of the general aviation aircraft addons I used work on day 1 (okkk day 2 cause almost no one had a working 2024 on day 1 LOL). I sometimes wonder if people are just afraid that because something says 2020 that it won't work in 24. Yeah we had some weird things like the dynamic registration beging broken for a while. But that seems to mostly work now. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

You really just need to see past receipts. Fenix wise Aamir always stood by what Fenix stands for not ripping customers off so I very much doubt you will see any paid version becoming paid unless absolutely neccesary and guess what the community is fine with that. April 4Apr 4 the 777 updates for 2024 were free for 2020 owners. So they're not nickel and diming every upgrade.

That EFB was a very close replica of what Boeing developed and is still available to many airlines and airlines' fleets as an option at the time of purchase. Our Boeing aircraft are equipped with EFBs, and we also carry tablets. Yes, many airlines use tablets that provide more information and offer greater memory capacity. I don't think that their replica was "God-awful EFB." 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

Everything looks better and most freeware airports that were made for v2020, work fine in v2024. It's the same for payware sceneries and airports. You'll love how easy it is to install. It takes up very little room, and performance is excellent. I'm in sim heaven! MSFS
