April 10Apr 10 Flying from KSEA to PANC causes a WASM crash somewhere around the south east area of Alaska. This has happened twice now. So I'm curious if anyone can reproduce it. Maybe it could be when it enters or gets close to the WITTI5 star Edited April 10Apr 10 by simsuper80 Marco D'Agostino
April 10Apr 10 Flown same route several times w/o incident in the 737. In fact, I've only had two WASM crashes, both with the 777. James M Driskell, Maj USMC (Ret)

This specific route always causes a WASM crash for me. I also just submitted a ticket Marco D'Agostino
April 10Apr 10 Do you import your simbrief flight plan via FMC or enter it manually? Does Navigraph navdata in sim matches PMDg navdata? 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

There are suspicions that FMC import of Simbrief flightplans has issues and causes WASM crashes. The safe procedure is following for now. 1. Update Navdata for both MSFS2024 via Navigraph updater and PMDG via EFB. 2. Create FP in Simbrief. 3. You may import FP via EFB for reference, but DO NOT import it via RTE page in FMC - enter it manually into FMC instead. Since then I have had 4 WASM free flights with 738/8/777. Again, it's just theory, Mr. Kok is totally reluctant to communicate on this issue. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
April 10Apr 10 Can confirm, I also had a repeatable WASM crash the other day loading a Simbrief plan on the 738 via FMC. Only happened with one route/flt plan and I tried 3 times and had a WASM crash 3 times at the same moment. Then decided to fly another route and it all loaded correctly again.

It's been done zillion times by many users, still - Mr. Kok insists that WASM crash depends on a number of add-ones installed. Funny, but I have had 75 sceneries installed, Fenix, FSL, PMDG, and it's only PMDG that started to wasm only recently. My first WASM ever for the entire duration of 2020/2024 experience. Even FSL after the most recent patch works well. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

April 10Apr 10 I am also having this problem with WASM crashes all of a sudden with PMDG aircraft. Only products that I have them with. Weird because I have never had problems with them before no matter what addons I had in my Community folder. I will try the advice about loading flighplans manually. Post later. Even FSL after the most recent patch works well. It is all very interesting. I fly the PMDG 738 and 739 almost every flight I make and have had exactly 1 WASM crash which occurred about a week ago. I import Simbrief plan using the EFB and autoload into the FMC using the request flight plan (or whatever it's called) function. I use current Navigraph data for 2024 and all PMDG aircraft. I have always set the transponder to TA/RA, but since that crash I now usually set it to TA only as it has been suggested that WASM crashes are less likely with it set to TA only. The only consistent issue I have with any PMDG aircraft is an MSFS crash that happens if I try to use WINCTRL PFP 3N with the 739 - I can use the PFP 3N with 738 and 773 with no issue...still haven't figure this one out, but it is repeatable, and no amount of uninstalling/reinstalling the 739, or SimAppPro, empty community folder etc. has fixed the problem. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
April 10Apr 10 I’ve also experienced several WASM crashes with the PMDG 737 aircraft in MSFS 2024. PMDG seems to have an issue with imported Simbrief flight plans. (That’s just my opinion; I’ve posted about it on their forum). So I use the Simbrief Downloader to export complex flight plans locally to the flight plan folder, and then load them into the FMC. I enter short flight plans manually. Since I’ve been doing it this way, I haven’t had a single WASM crash with a 737 in MSFS2024.

April 10Apr 10 I flown many flights with the PMDG birds. I can say that I haven't had a WASM crash yet. I guess That I'm lucky from that expect. I know that there are a few threads on their support forum wanting folks that have them to submit a ticket so they can try to narrow down on what's causing them. That's what I would do instead of trying to troubleshoot here.
