FSHUD @ FSLTL Compatibility Heads-up

Featured Replies

Just a heads-up, if anyone missed it.

Important compatibility notice regarding FSLTL Traffic Injector 1.8.3

FSHud - Air Traffic Control has identified a compatibility issue when used together with FSLTL Traffic Injector 1.8.3.

When both products are active in the same simulator environment, traffic-related issues may occur, including reduced, inconsistent, or paused traffic behavior.

This should not be treated as a standalone malfunction of FSHud - Air Traffic Control, but as a compatibility issue affecting this specific product combination.

Until further notice, users who want reliable traffic operation with FSHud - Air Traffic Control should not run FSLTL Traffic Injector 1.8.3 at the same time.

FSHud - Air Traffic Control does not depend on FSLTL Traffic Injector for traffic operation. FSHud - Air Traffic Control continues to support multiple traffic sources and configurations depending on user setup.

We are also actively exploring better ways to integrate traffic into FSHud - Air Traffic Control and will continue working toward the most reliable and flexible traffic experience possible.

Did you read the entire thread. Why not use the link provided on this thread as a temporary fix? BTW, I do not use FSHUD, but I tried it and decided to settle with BATC. I just feel that if I can

Well FSLTL did also say that it was their agreement with FR24 which was forcing them to make the change to remove the FSHud API connection from their injector. If FR24 say there was no agreement it so

Makes sense as I get no traffic with the latest FSLTL version. Any idea how I revert to 1.8.2?

Thanks

No. There are references online to people downloading older versions but I found no availability.

The closest I found was this and simply replacing the injector files and refusing to update when asked.  https://github.com/FSLiveTrafficLiveries/FSLTL_Injector_Releases/releases/tag/1.7.0

FSLTL is aware of the situation and in response to a query replied:

Search the chat... FSHud support and why it's not supported has been discussed at length

October 28, 2024 > Feature Changes > FSLTL Injector 1.6.7:
Removed support for FSHud:
The FSLTL injector can no longer be used as a conduit for FR24 data to be provided to for-cost products.  Therefore, we've had to remove support for FSHud in the FSLTL injector.

So basically FSLTL made an update to break it? If it's broke what's the alternative other than AIG?

We'll just have to await whatever the FSHud developer is referring to in the above paragraph. Meanwhile I'm happy with the AIG support in FSHud, although it has one or two issues.

In my case, I simply deleted the content of the existing fsltl-traffic-injector folder and replaced it with this and then started fsltl (don't allow the injector to be updated) So far it seems to work fine.

No. The FSLTL injector works perfectly with the latest version. This has to be a user error.

Let me see if I still have the older version somewhere in my backup drive.

BTW, AIG is an alternative for FSHUD.

I have it backed up. PM me.

I doubt that it's going to solve your issue.

I sent you version 1.8.2

You might need to delete your settings config file in roaming folder.

fsltl-trafficinjector-config (see if the file has the correct info) Maybe it got corrupted.

FSLTL (latest version) stops injecting traffic if FSHud is running. They were discussing it on their Discord server not too long ago. It's due to potential licensing issues with FR24 whom FSLTL have an agreement with.

Interesting. I'm glad I kept the older version on my backup drive for anyone that needs it.
