GSX: Anyone tried the gate to gate towing feature?

Featured Replies

I just did at Inibuilds LAX and it is.... BROKEN for sure. WAYYYYYY too fast to start the tow, and the tug towed the aircraft through everything. Didn't even follow any taxiways until just before the area that the gate is in.

How had this feature worked for anyone else?

I used it yesterday in Sydney to tow the MD11 from the new 100 bays in Sydney Airport to the Cargo Terminal and it done quite good, but yes it did have its moments going too fast during pushback and pull. Wonder if the pushback speed setting is tied into it?

Don’t you need a GSX Profile for the airport of choice setup for it to work well?

I just wish they'd give us an option for UI location on the monitor - sometimes it pops up on the left side, sometimes it pops up on the right side. The other issue I have now is most functions in the UI require that I try 2 or 3 times or more before my request is acted on - never experienced this before the latest hotfixes.

Noticed this as well. Sometimes there is a delay for certain actions to happen (possibly an attempt at recreating RL?) where nothing happens in an instant but there are times that an action has to be requested more than once.

Best to post these issues in their forum as Umberto is actively involved.
