For those who will miss the FSLTL injector....

Featured Replies

This belonged in the recent thread that was locked:  try default RealTime traffic.  I'm first trying this now at SKRG and I couldn't tell the difference between it and FSLTL.  I do use BATC but sometimes avoid using its injector and this seems to work fine as a sub for FSLTL.

All good things come to end.  I LOVED the simplicity of FSLTL.  I just liked when I was moving around an airport there was eye candy.  Disappointing the fate of this program.  I knew things at FR24 we

Indeed, it is about the money --> people expecting to get paid for their work and effort. How dare they! Get a subscription to RealTraffic --> --> problem solved!

So, over the last couple of days I've completely switched up my set-up. Bye bye, FSTL, and hello AIG + PSXT + RealTraffic.  Have to say, I'm impressed.  Yeah, RealTraffic costs money. I

And what happens if you do not use BATC like me and possible much more people..?

Rhe thread was locked, but I posted a video that explains thre pro and cons.

I tried it with the FSLTL and it works, but now I'm using AIG models and I'm leaning more to AIG & TC. I really don't care about realtime traffic. I'm more about the quality of the models and performance.

That's what Noel was actually doing: leaving MSFS handle directly traffic injection by itself, instead of using FSLTL. He leaves BATC for only issuing ATC instructions to him and no one else. I gotta give it a try.

Conclusion: BATC is not a must for this. You can easily use any other ATC with this idea.

Could someone maybe explain how the default traffic switches from using its own Asobo models to using FSLTL models, I don't quite see how that would happen.

The same way it does when you have AIG installed. The model matching looks for installed AI first before going to default.

As Noel posted, I've also been using BATC to control my aircraft, but BATC's AI stutters quite a bit whenever I use its AI. The AI stutters as they move along, but BATC's ATC itself is fine.

So lately I've been using AIG's injector with BATC and letting MSFS' ATC control the AIG traffic. Not ideal, but the AIG traffic moves smoothly.

I tried it out at Narita this afternoon and was actually very satisfied, except that, unfortunately, there were cargo planes at the terminal and many of the 747s in the cargo area had the standard livery, with both AIG and FSTL installed.

Might hive FS Hud a try. It uses AIG plans directly and it's vectoring and spacing is excellent.

I immediately deleted AIG Traffic Controller because it uses an absurd amount of RAM, which I will never tolerate (in Narita it was 14 (!) GB).

It's true but to be honest though I haven't used SI ATC I find BATC's audio is too good to pass up, and that is why I'm doing this it's great to not have all of the BATC<>controller chatter (I use LiveATC instead) which can be annoying but worse still it uses Premium characters, and not having to wait for comms to settle down so the controller responds to my request, and odd has heck BATC's ground traffic management has actually been WORSE than was FSLTLs and so far, default RealTime traffic has been great.  I just have to pay attention to moving ground traffic to avoid conflict but it's easy to do.  On my maiden flight from SKRG to MROC was impressed by the parked traffic as well, and same here at the small rural airport, KPGA.   Plenty of GA aircraft and a few regional jets or turboprops.

I have to disagree, TC uses no more memory than any other addon program. I run it all the time for every flight and never saw a memory hit using TC.

Just to clarify, as I’m not sure I’ve understood correctly:
In the Sim, i’ve set it to Real-time Traffic and than the Sim uses the FSLTL models for that ?

And than you have flying Traffic ?

And i use still MSFS2020 !

And I’m still hoping that the FSLTL Team will find another way !!

cheers 😉

Yes, the Sim will automatically use any matching models it finds in the community folder. If it can't find a match it will default to its closest generic model.

I'm a bit confused here...so if I let MSFS control the traffic but I have AIG models installed, they will fly flightplans? I was under the impression that forever circling aircraft, low passes over the runway but never landing, etc. is part of what happens no matter what unless using something like BATC or SI.
