May 4May 4 After updating to su5, I had all kinds of long time loading issues. I followed a you tuber's suggestion to uninstall and reinstall the sim and, true, enough, loading times have gone back to less than 60 seconds and the sim no longer stutters. Not enough is said about the importance of balancing gpu settings with cpu load. Once these items are understood and set properly, the sim is a joy.
May 5May 5 Around 5mins for me, almost 5000 Simobjects. Guess it is because of the full AIG and FSLTL library being installed. Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
May 5May 5 MSFS2020 : 1 min 43 sec (over 200gb in community folder) using the -FastLaunch option MSFS2024 : Did not buy yet
May 6May 6 Using the -FastLaunch option from clicking the icon to the main menu takes "in general" between 04:40 and 05:00 minutes. The sim takes a very long time to go through the "Activating Packages" part. I just wonder why, it only started taking so long after the SU4 update. With or without community folders makes no difference (just ran another test). Before SU4 update the sim got loaded generally around the time the bush plane lands and the camera zooms in on the deer. After the SU4 update I now have to sit through the entire scenery show at least twice. No clue why. MSFS 2024 installed on a NVMe drive Samsung 980 Pro.
